SCFC video

Post by Senor Grommet »

The weather has been nice the past two weekends, so I decided to whip out the ol' camera and take some footage. I'm excited to bring you the first Santa Cruz Footbag Club net-only video.

http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/13774
6 min 20 sec

Contains 4 min of "good" play and 2 minutes of bloopers. Enjoy it and please post comments if you like.

wow you guys are ninjas! This is me trying my best not to be a freestyle elitist: it was a nice change of pace. I'll probably even watch it again tonight! Net is really impressive. Thanks for sharing, Jeremy!

Good shit. I enjoyed it a lot. I've always wished to learn net, but I don't think I can do it by myself.

Thanks for creating/sharing it.

Nice video, Jeremy. :-) You guys look impressive in the first part, and it looks like EJ has gotten really good. If it's sunny on Sunday I might come out to eat your (pl) snacks and read in the warm sun.

What was the artist and song? The music and lyrics sounded very Butthole Surfer-y (just not the guys voice). Whoever that was I want to check them out, link please!

I thought I noticed EJ in this video (and then it was confirmed in the credits). I guess he has fully converted over to your net-only ways. I haven't seen him since US Open 06 tell him I said 'yo'.

Looking forward to your big screen premiere this summer ;)

That most certainly was Wicked and Weird, a Buck 65 gem, Danny Petrick! I knew there was a reason I freestyled with you a while back :D , must be your good taste in music.

While I'm at it, I remixed some of the footage from Warm Weather Sessions, added in a few profiles, and attempted to edit carefully to the song "White Kids Love Hip Hop" by MC Chris for this video:

only 90 sec, worth a watch.

awesome! great video, as far as net videos go. Net is so much more fun to watch (or play) in person. i just can't really get into net videos. freestyle just seems like it works better on a video platform. net owns freestyle in the still photo department though.
i really don't have the skils to give any one constructive comments, but i enjoyed the blooper reel alot. who's the amputee, and is he a regular player? that's awesome that he doesn't let his disability hold him back! looks like you guys have a solid crew of players out there. it would be nice to see some more of these as summer approaches and you guys get to play outdoors more often.

edit: it's california and i'm an idiot. You guys don't get the same kind of winters i do, so the "when the weather warms up..." comment can be ignored, since you can play outdoors year round. p.s. i hate you for your well chosen geographic location.

Except that it rains a ton during "winter" and can get down to the 30's in this area.

30's = -1 c
well that's kinda chilly i guess. i'd take rain and lows of -1 over snow and lows of -50 any day. Day time highs here for the past month have been -28. Today was only -8 so i finally was able to go out side in just a sweater. i can't wait for it to warm up here...
