If you have, What do you think of it?
Rod
Yes, I have the black ones...
They are not playable:(, the fabric on the outside is really slippery.
I tried to modify them by cutting the outer layer, but it didn't work
because the two layers are glued together and the inner layer is like....
its not capable to stay on its own...so if you want them for footbag, don't buy them.
However they look really cool

I modded off the outside slippery surface and then the inside surface as well, which left a canvas like material. I thought it was awesome... as a matter of fact if I could find another black pair they would be my next footbag shoe (except I want to buy the QM03)

Right now I have 4 pair of lavers. Two are like the ones in this thread. I love them!! That is why I bought a back-up pair. I modded the whole inside of the shoe. Just like the reg mesh ones...but there were two layers on them. I took them both out. The outside layer does not change my play to much. But I am pretty new at the sport. I have a reg mesh pair too. I can't tell a big difference in the two. I just like my red ones better. The only difference I can tell is the color. One of the other pair is a leather pair that I hate. I have a "How Too" thread with pics. I have them fully modded too. I will give away to anyone that wants them. They are a size 9.

My girlfriend thinks I'm a dork.............
But she loves me anyways.

I took out the two outer layers and kept the foamy thin neophrene lining.
The material kind of feeling like a Clima toe material.
Im not to sure how the material will put up with constant shredding but I do know that this method works if you want to make a shred shoe out of this shoe.

Use facile to replace the surface. I recommend Black Noir. Advise your local stitcher to destroy their arm to do this mod job.

i got a pair of red one since 6-8 months or so, i think theyre fine now, at first i was like wtf how ima play with these shoes, modded the inside. But still, I should mod the outside better cause I just scraped a bit the outside material, theyre still slippery compared to my old twill lavers..

I recently switched back to shredding only in my black pair of these. It took alot of modding, but they're certainly playable now. Prolly not any better than any other pair of fully-broken in/properly modified lavers, but I'm still breaking in my new ones and they work fine for now.
I had to cut out the inside surface, toe surface (and tongue) to replace them with facile. I basted the surfaces in and then used shoe-goe to glue the rest of the material on securely. It works fine and it holds up pretty sturdy, but there are places within the shoe where the fabric bunched-up or the glue is sticking out a bit and it chaffes my feet if I don't wear socks. With socks though, it's fine.
Although I love my pair, I don't recommend these shoes.
PS: I would pay alot of money (and possibly stitch a free footbag) for a new red pair of these shoes in size 10.5. They would be a wicked street shoe. Not enough red shoes on the market these days...
