Berlin Crew!

How are you guys travelling to Prague? Since the people from Estonia are flying to Berlin and then going somehow to Prague.

Was wondering if you know how it can be cheaper.

we haven't organized it yet, but most likely it will be by bus or train. the best option is to go by train on group tickets, but these need to be purchased 4 weeks in advance. we just missed this, damn.

a single trip by regular bus costs around 35â‚¬ (on the way back to berlin you'll only pay 25â‚¬ if you registered for the Berlin Footbag Summer).

don't know anythig more precise yet. how many of you are there?

at www.bahn.de u can buy online-train-tickets from berlin to prag august 9th/10th for 29 euros if u can pay by credit card.

Hey Aleksei.
I am going to Worlds from Munich.
I am from Canada, but my girlfriend has been living in Germany for a few months now. She has been traveling around Germany and to neighbouring countries using a German carpooling service called "Mitfahren". She found that it was ridiculously cheaper than train. This is how we are planning to get to Prague. Here is the website, though I'm sure it would help to both be able to read German and to maybe have a home base in Germany somewhere? I'm not sure what is required, since my girlfriend is gonna set it up for us. But I think she made a comparison for one trip within Germany where the train would have cost $80 Euros, and the Mitfahren cost $20.

Maybe you can get a German to help you out with this (as a cheap alternative)?

yeah, mitfahrgelegenheit.de is good but due to high gasoline-prices it wont be much cheaper than the 29 euros for the train and definetely less comfortable...

We will arrive in Berlin at night this friday(aprox. 12pm).On what day the Berlin crew is heading towards Prague? Maybe you could give us some directions or just tips on Berlin since we will have to spend the night in Berlin(which is awesome) and leave for Prague in the morning.
