Backing up your blog: How do you do it?

Post by C-Fan »

I've heard people talk about backing up their blogs from modified, in case anything happens. Is there a clever way to do this? I kinda don't want to go through nearly 2000 posts copying and pasting everything into a word document. Suggestions?

I backed up my blog which is 20 or 30 pages. I just saved them as web pages. On page at a time I pressed Ctrl+S (This is on firefox. On Internet explorer you might have to go to file>"save as"). It took about 10 minutes
Make sure you save Web page complete - well i think that saves images so the page looks exactly the same.

Ditto. It's quick, easy, and a good idea.

I used http://www.httrack.com/. Makes sense when your blog
has a lot of pages.
