Vancouver Jam January 23-24-25

Post by ShortyDuWop »

Hey everyone,
Trying to put together a jam up in Van in January. I got a venue figured out for friday night jan 23rd- sat 24th pm, open to the public with possible informal circle comp and if people are still into it we could most likely have a space for the sunday afternoon as well. It would probably cost about 20$ for the week-end. I am also pretty sure that everyone could have a place to crash, we just need to have some kind of attendance confirmation from the northwest shredders or anyone else who's down to make it happen!
Soo, please let us know asap what are your thoughts on attending this possible event, then we can reserve our spot. Hope that works for most of ya!

hmmm maaaaaaaybe.

The flights at that time I really cheap right now... $266 round trip with taxes. I need to find out more about what's going on with my school schedule next semester. I may have a conflict.

This is the same weekend I was going to hold the Seattle Jam. I will probably for-go the Seattle Jam at this point for yours in Vancouver. So I will be attending and rescheduling the Seattle Jam for some time in the Spring probably just spill it over to the Folklife Jam.
See you all there.
I don't know if I can play I have once again thrown my back out and recovery is looking to be long and painful. We will see.
Lastly Caro - I will be getting your hat tomorrow and sending it up to you asap.

Cool, I'm waiting to hear from my friend at the community center to reserve the space we'll have that week-end. Sorry, i took over the dates you were planning for Seattle, but we'd been talking about another van jam for soo long that i thought the best was just to get on with it and see what would happen :P

Seattle in spring also sounds a lot more possible for me, soo, that's good.

Anyway, i'll keep posting as i get the details worked out...might try to get some sponsors in, beer...maybe, we'll see. I still would really like know whoever is down for this, so we can work out crash space.
keep ya posted!
Caro...

P.s. Thanx Justin, really lookin' forward gettin' that hat! Sorry to hear your back is being a bitch again...that sucks, hopefully it feels better by then, take care!

I would really like to go to this event. I am going to miss out on the Las Vegas Jam which is really unfortunate for me since I have been living in Las Vegas since last March, but I am back in Washington now and I will try my best to make it to Vancouver. It sounds like a lot of fun and I love getting to go to Canada, especially to kick. See you there!

Ok, everything is reserved for the event at the Mount Pleasant Community Center, which is a couple blocks from where i live and work, soo it's really easy access. We got a really good deal on the rental space, 'cause they know me and are very supportive of Footbag, so it will be 5$ for the whole week-end.

Yeah, get that passport thing worked out asap and come up; You wouldn't wanna miss that one...

Aaron it's been a 'lil while, it'd be great to have you up here too, with hopefully the rest of the Rain City Crew! Common' Portland, Victoria...

Still working on the details...it should be good!

I moved in to my apartment mid-November, and still haven't really furnished it yet.

If any of the Seattle crew or whoever needs some crash space, I have tons of it. :D
