Georgia Footbag scene?

Is there even technically a "scene" down here? I've heard of one guy being from Georgia, and I haven't talked to him in a while. I'm just curious as to if anyone knows anyone who plays footbag down here in the south.

Hey man. I'm not sure you could say there is officially a scene in GA anymore, but there is definitely a southern scene. I grew up in Rome, GA and Alex Heerman, Ben Barrows, and myself used to play regularly in Atlanta. Alex and Ben moved to Athens a couple of years ago to go to UGA and I moved to Murfreesboro TN a few months ago. We've got a pretty good freestyle and net scene goin in Nashville. We play once a week, meeting in Nashville or Murfreesboro(about 30 min south of Nashville) and we're talking about putting together some kind of jam here in the next few months in Murfreesboro. I come down to Rome to visit on breaks and holidays and things, so if you're nearby we should get together and kick some. My number is (706)-506-3744 and I check email regularly at [email protected]. If you ever find yourself near Athens, Ben would probably like to play too, his number is (678)-634-5033. Like I said we play every Sunday up here so if you ever want to see Nashville some weekend you should come play, I'm sure one of us will have an available couch for you to crash on if you want.
Man I've been waiting for years for someone to post the exact message you just posted on modified, and it finally happened right after I moved. Oh well, drop me a line sometime man, we'll get something together.

7 regular members + a few part-timers that show from time to time.

actually i talked to a kid named Chris last month who's from Cleveland, TN which is pretty damn close to N. Georgia. he's on modified as well.... "moparman" i believe. also he set up a club at footbag.org recently http://www.footbag.org/clubs/show/1232407845

what part of N. Georgia are you from?

I belive Cleveland is a about an hour and a half from where I am live.

I don't know if I count but I live in Atlanta (Buckhead/Sandy Springs area)

I just started to get back into footbaggin and am not good at all but I'd love to shred with anyone around here
