4. Hungarian Footbag Camp

Post by TomTilly »

Hey all, I just decided to make this topic, perhaps you are iteressed about it. It will be the fourth hungarian footbag camp, on Fonyód, near the lake Balaton. It will be 5 days and 4 nights long, between 1st and 10th august, including lot of shred, beach, beer, fun and so one. I just started to organize it, so I haven't got many informations about it. As I know, one night will cost ca. 2000-2200 Hungarian Forint (8-9 Euros), and it is just the accomodation, there is no food included.
You know, it is good to know during the organizing, how many people will come, so if you are intressed, please write here in this topic. All the people arond the world are wellcome

If I get more informations (date, prise, etc.), I will write them here.

Good shred to everyone!

Yo,

I'd like to be the first to say that I'm interested. And guess what, I'm coming from Canada. Me and my girlfriend plan on traveling and going to worlds and this sounds like an amazing opportunity.

I have Hungarian blood and have wanted to go to Hungary my whole life! My Dad left with his family in like 1958.

I'll keep in touch though. I've got a crazy summer ahead!
First think about how to practice or don't bother practicing.

New infos abut the camp:

It will take place in Siófok, near the lake Balaton. It will 5 days (4 nights) long, between 2nd and 7th august. The accomodation (a boarding school) will be a bit more expensive, one night costs ca. 2800-3000 HUF (11-12 euros, 12,7- 13,6 USD). We will have a gym and a sports-ground to use. Everybody can join till the end of may.

Edit: unfortunately, the date is not sure- maybe it will skip two weeks or so.

I may come for a day or two after worlds. I fly out of Frankfurt on August 3, so maybe if I come for the first day that would be fun...

Things changed a lot since I have opened this topic, and unfortunately perhaps this changes will break some of your programs...

So:

The camp will be keeping for 19th - to 23th august. It is 4 nights and 5 days; one day costs 2870 HUF (ca. 7,5 Euro or 14,35 USD). It doesn't include the food, so you have to bring it with yourself or buy there. There will be 4, 6 and 8 bed rooms, the bathroom will be common. Every rooms can include a television or a fridge, if you wish.

The location is a small town, Siófok (near the Balaton lake); the boarding-school of the Baross Gábor highschool, Bakony street 2.
The nearest train station is Siófok-Balatonszéplak felső; but I think it would be easier to meet somewhere in Budapest, and go to the Balaton lake together. You know, Budapest is the only town which has an international airport, it is a "traffic center", and he biggest city of our country.

The fee of the accomodation havs to be paid on the spot.

Officially the event starts at 12-13h, but it is not so important to be there at this time, so you can come later too.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Sorry for my bad english, I'm not in my best form
