I have a couple of questions first off how do I know if I've got the basic kicks down and what should I work on after basic kicks? I was thinking stalls but I don't have the slightest idea how to learn those... Any help would be appreciated also which hack is best for learning? I ordering a mr. Sandman but currently i have a duncan spider, a sandmaster, and a crazy 8. Also just got a pair of lavers.

Answering your question on the basic kicks: Only you can know when you've got them "mastered". It may take time, but stay with it. I guess you could say you've got them down when you can do a good many consecutives and alternating to kicks, inside kicks, etc.

A good footbag answer would be that you never master anything, there's always room for improvement in even the simplest of kicks and tricks (unless you're a blond Czech guy).
I think once you can comfortably do consecutive, alternating inside kicks, you can start working on the stalls. 20 comfortable consecutive is a good symbolic goal, but of course you should aim to kick hundreds. Toe kicks and outside kicks are nice to have but not essential imo, it took me a long time to feel comfortable with those, and I don't think it bothered me in learning freestyle.

when you can do it with both feet, back and forth, with good rhythm, good balance, a variety of kicks and kicking styles (those last two meaning anything you want them to mean) and ease, to the point that you get bored with counting, and you can carry on a conversation with someone who's not playing, that's when you can kick it enough.
as for which hack is best for learning, that is covered in the thread to which you were linked, above.
You mentioned 3 different hacks. only one of those is mentioned in the thread that you were linked to above. So, which do you think is best for learning?

I'd say get to the point where you feel absolutely in control of your kicks on every surface. This usually doesn't happen until you can kick upwards of 250 kicks.
