what is a good yellow facile from fields?

Dont hold me to it, but im sure id read somewhere in this forum that Tulip was the better of the yellows.

I think there aren't any very yellow colors except tulip. Spanish gold is the closest thing, but it doesn't have that sunshiney ultra-visible quality.

I did a search on people's opinions on facile colors before buying my batch, and they were completely varied on tulip. It's a frustrating situation because it's the best looking color, but from my limited experience it's weak and gets holes fast. Whenever I make a bag with tulip it will probably be only on the pents because they're easier to replace. Maybe a good solution is to have yellow spikes on a bag made of physically strong colors.

i have a bag with tulip its super chpice and plays awesome the only holes are on tulip and there are alot the entire tulip section is tape if i were you i would only get it because somebody might ask for it

It all depends on the batch of tulip that you get. I have a batch that I'm using right now and it hasn't pilled, or become holey, on any of the bags that I've made. If it has, it could've be due to poor handling or very hard use. But I've found tulip to be a strong yellow. It just comes down to if you get a good batch of it.

Spanish gold is pretty good. Once it breaks in it's extra supple.......the only downside is that it pills really bad. Other than Tulip, this is the only other "yellow" that I see for USL.

i used to have problems with tulip, because it was hard to tell which side was the front and which side was the back. for a while, the color would melt within the first 5 minutes of on the next batch i ordered, i requested that they write which side was which... and from then on, tulip has been pretty decent for such a thin color. i compare it to the thinness and softness of the blue hawaii color.

a while back, there was a yellow ultrasuede light that fields released as a seasonal color... sunset i think... but fields doesnt carry it anymore because to them, it is too similar in color with tulip. what they dont realize, is that sunset is much more durable than tulip. ive tried sending them a letter about this, but nothing happened with it.

tulip is a decent and soft color... and makes for great melty bags. just make sure you use the right side out

I've a Tulip and burnt orange bag. It's incredibly choice, been shredding with it exclusively for a little while. But, as said above, Tulip certainly begins to pill faster, I agree with Holly's comparison to blue hawaii, it might even pill a little faster, from my experience.

I have a really strong yellow, but it's not ultrasuede light. In fact, it feels like some sort of compressed leather. I think it could be alcantara (it's thin like facile, but feels really stiff and rough to the touch, and the surface is slightly pilly in texture). It breaks in like any other synthetic suede, though.

I've made a couple of bags with this material, and all of them have gotten really soft without any holes whatsoever. There has been a lot of stretching of the material, but that's about it.

Anyway, I got it at a fabric store near Times Square here in NYC called "N.Y. Elegant Fabrics," and I'm more than happy to bring any footbagger that stitches to this store to get a hold of this yellow. They also carry some ultrasuede light colors and amaretta suede, so come on by and give me a ring when you're in town.
