Post by MathieuGM »

When : June 4-5-6th : THESE DATES ARE OFFICIAL NOW!.
Locations : Place des arts, UQAM, Parc Jean-Mance (TamTam)

Place-des-Arts
175 St-Catherine west (ouest)
St-Caterine street, between Jeanne-Mance and St-Urbain.
metro Place-des-Arts (green line)
up the stairs, around the fountain, or if it's raining or at night: under the roof of the building next to the fountain. If you don'T find us at the usual spot at the Place Des Arts, it's only that we play on the other side of the bulding. So we will be on Jeanne-Mance streets. Look on google map, it's easy to understand. We might do that because there are a lot of renovations at the Place des Arts this year.

TamTam
Parc Janne-Mance
From Place-des-Arts: go to corner of Jeanne-Mance and Maisonneuve street. Take bus # 80 Nord. get out at Parc Jeanne-Mance (in front of the statue). about 5 min ride. Find soccer field on your right or the statue on your left.
or
from metro Mont-Royal:
exit metro, turn left on Mont-Royal street, walk 15 minutes, turn left on Avenue du Parc, walk 5 minutes, find soccer field on your left or the statue on your right.

Les Foufs
87 St-Catherine east (est), 514-844-5539
from Place-des-Arts: walk 1-2 block on St-Catherine street in car traffic direction. You'll see it on your left.

UQAM
Pavillon Paul-Gérin-Lajoie (N)
1205, rue Saint-Denis, H2X 3R9
You must get a level S2. To do so, you use the last elevator on the left. There will be plenty of indications there.

Those dates work great for me! I'll be there.

I was beginning to wonder if MSJ was even going to happen this year. A group of people from GRASS including myself were planning on going to Montreal anyway even if there wasn't an official event. We like Montreal that much!

You should add a poll option!

Three east coast jams in a row is kind of intense, but I'm down. I'm scared that attendance could suffer for all three events as a result. I know that I will make it to all three but I doubt that many people will do the same. A one week break might be a good idea.

Yea we are at like 95% for memorial day, the location has been confirmed we are just waiting on the paperwork, should have it at some point in the next few days. When the paperwork is in hand we are 100% go.

I think it is def gonna be tough having 3 east coast jams in a row. We should have discussed this sooner :(

prolly no good for me, since Tim will be in town... but may not matter, since I don't know if I could attend even if it was a different date.

I will not be able to make the full event, but there is a smalllll chance I will be able to make two days of it. I can't request any more time off work, but my days off go in a weekly rotation, so there is a chance I'll have the saturday, or monday off, in which case I can make a full Sunday. However, if I have say, a Thursday off, it would be doubtful.

I really hope the weekend day off just happens to swing in favour of footbag.

I'll be there, and me and Bailey will be hosting players at the party pad, same place as last year for those in the know. It's a bit less spartan then last year so it'll be good times!

Lemme know in advance if you plan to stay, we got a 3 seater couch, 2 inflatable beds, and a bunch of foamy.

Same place as last year, Nick? Have the bed bug Trojans been annihilated by the Zeus bomb?

I was referring to the second jam that had happened, I guess I should have specified that, ESPECIALLY considering the bed bug thing!

New place, we didn't bring any furniture or anything with us so no bed bugs, they're 100% gone, thank god, and it's a much nicer place. Because we lost everything, it's a bit empty in terms of furnishings, but what the hell, that's life.

3 in a row on the east coast is pretty rough.

if it ends up on those dates tho, i will still try to make it.

any chance the big montreal event this summer can be a combined freestyle and net event?

For now we are still looking for those dates.

For the net cmop, there is not so much communication between net scene and freestyle scene in montreal. If there is a net comp this weekend, it will be a coincidence!

We still hope that everyone will be able to make it!

Montreal is a beautiful city, and I want to make it to MSJ. But first weekend of June is a tight squeeze. Still, I'll do my best to get up there.
