Melbourne Shred 16/05/10

Post by astrogeek »

Video of Ryan and I shredding at Fed Square in Melbourne, Australia. Unfortunatly a lot of my good runs and almost all of Ryan's happened after the cam ran out of battery.

That was pretty solid from both of you. Sorry, but I'm not sure on the names, but

Light-blue-shirt-guy: I liked the ease of the magellans that you did in the one run, but on also later in the same string, some of your legovers looked a little awkward. So just try to make everything a bit smoother and ultimately easier for you if that makes sense.

White-shirt-guy: You have very nice form, but I'd definitely like to see a bit more flipside and clipper to clipper ducking

But overall, good job guys

Thanks for the comments John, I am the "white shirt guy" and Ryan is the "light blue shirt guy", lol.

I totally agree with your comments about flipside and clipper ducking. Clipper ducking is just something I have never been able to do, mainly because up until about 3 months ago my flip clipper was non-existant. I am really trying to work on it at the moment though so hopefully I will get it soon.

As for flipside, I can do almost all of my tricks both sides, I just forget to do them when I am doing runs, lol. That's something else I need to work on because most of my runs are too similar. I have just gotten into the habit of doing certain things every run, it's really anoying and hard to break :(

I am the 'blue-shirt guy'. Totally understand the legover comment, I was having problems with legovers after changing my style, however I believe they are more natural now as I am trying to copy Leon's legovers. Will post a video again to show my progress. Also my clipper should be a little better as well. :D :D
You've got a hundred years to live, but probably not footbag. Better get Shredding!
