Boston Jam: Sometime in September

Post by DTank126 »

Alright, so it looks like we're going to postpone the jam until September. Unfortunately, we still don't have a set date, but it will probably be around mid-late September so as not to interfere with Funtastiks. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Location:
TBD

Events:
circle, sick3
maybe request or 10

Lodging:
I have room for 4 or 5 people at my place. Pete can host 1 or 2 at his place and then 8-10 at his parents place. I'm not sure about hotels, but I can find out if anyone really really wants to do that.

If i go at world, there are not so many chance that i can make it.

If i don'T go at worlds and find someone in the montreal area who is down for getting there, i'm in. For the date, i think early september is the best for me. Late august sound good too, my birthday is 27 august haha. But look with Dante, i think kingston crew would like to host a jam around these dates too.

Hope to see you soon!

I say sometime in july, the 4th might be cool because its a long weekend for most but a lot of people are going to already have plans. I think I have plans for both mentioned weekends in July so I might not be able to make either one of them, so I didn't vote. Funtastics is for sure happening this year and it is the last one, so everyone should come to that, its going to be amazing.

Ben, we will definitely have a session when you are in town.

So right now it's looking like early-mid July is our best bet. I'll leave the poll open for a few more days just to see if anyone else has any other input, otherwise I think we'll go with July 9-11.

Thanks to everyone who's commented so far!

Okay, so after a little collaboration with the rest of BSC, it looks like we're going to wait until September to hold a jam. I'd love to have an actual date but unfortunately I've been away from Boston the past week and a half and without internet until a few days ago, so we haven't been able to discuss too many details.

Sorry to anyone who was planning to come to Boston next weekend.... But hey, feel free to still come and kick and chill out. I'll even buy a sixer of your choice.

Boston sometime in September sounds find to me. However, Sept. 3-5 is LABOR DAY WEEKEND, and Labor Day Weekend is the FUNTASTIK SUMMER CLASSIC. In fact, this will probably be the last REAL Funtastiks ever, the big finish - the big send-off to one of the most celebrated footbag events ever...

So, you might want to change that new Poll a little...

Thanks Jon, it's great to hear that you're interested, and yeah I really don't want this event to interfere with Funtastiks and recently edited my first post to reflect that. I'd like to just get rid of the poll completely but am unsure how to go about this... Any help?... Anyone?... Bueller?
