New Abshire Pro Model 65 (pics)

Post by Jazzkid »

These are Richard Abshire's lastest footbags. Slightly smaller than a medium and still larger than a mini, these weigh in at 65 grams (tungsten). The two on the left are amerreta and the two on the right are facile. I have played with many Abshire's and this model is my favorite.

The 65 gram weight is heavy enough that the facile breaks in very quickly. The red, white, and blue bag has been used one session and is already broken in. The facile bags are ideal for players that play on many different types of surface, ie...carpet, grass, and especially concrete. The facile bags tend to last a little longer than the amerreta depending on how well you take care of your bags and whether or not you come slamming down on it or not.

The amerreta bags are basically the ideal playing bag. This one is softer and more broken in at first. If you primarily play on soft surfaces, ie..carpet, then this is choice.

I bought these plus two more faciles same colors. I primarily use the facile Pro model 65, but also regularly use the amerreta. Both of these bags set and stall great and the weight is perfect for the size of the bag.
There is also a pro model 60 that weighs 60 grams and I think it is a tiny bit smaller.

PM Richard Abshire to get yours....

Image For comparison...from left to right...mini hybrid(new), pro 65 ammereta (new), medium facile(broken in), regular facile (new)

When the mini breaks in is about the size of a BRAND NEW pro model. When the pro model break in , it is about the size of a medium, or just a tiny bit smaller.
