Hey Modified!

I decided to make a footblog after playing footbag for more than 6 years now! We used to have a hungarian footbag forum, but on the new site, there isn't :? .
So I'm writing here 8) !

A few words about myself:
I live in a beautiful country in Hungary near to our capital, Budapest.
I'm 21 years old, and I'm studying psychology. I have lots of hobbies: juggling; Rubik's cube, and other similar puzzles; ElastoMania (the greatest PC game ever created :D );
pool games (mainly snooker and 9ball);foosball; hiking, being in nature
I love music! It's almost as important to me as water or oxigen for others  ! I have wide interest in music which means that I'm lsitening to a lots of generes, from different kind of metals (from heavy to black), and electronic music (ambient, psychedelic trance, dubstep, DnB and so on).

And of course I love FOOTBAG !
I'm playing for about 6 years now. I've started playing in spring of 2004 with a few friends, but after a while it was only me, who has been taking it "serious". In the first 2 years a played a lot (like 5 times a week), but than I lost my insipration, because I was alone, and my developement has slowed down. In the next 3 years I rarely practiced, mostly only at events, or if I could meet with others from other cities.
In the summer of 2010 I felt in love again with footbag, so I pracitce more again, but I don't have as much time as I would like to play.

I'm a quite one sided player, and my most important goal now is to be totaly two sided, symmetric in order to be balanced in body and mind as well!

Considered to my game's level in general
I'm good at:
Symposium tricks (different flails, superflys, symp whirls, symposium sets, Voodoo BSOS, Mernin BSOS, Pixie Merlin)
Stepping (ripped warrior bs, spike hammer, blurry drifter, blurry torque, steppig DSO)
Toe set concepts (Alpine legbeater, Alpine Tripwalk, Skullsmasher, Alpine Toe Blur, Quantum DLO, Quantum Eggbeater)

I'm bad at:
Most kind of whirls
Blenders and Dynos
I need to work on my Torques
I don't play guiltless :o .
I dont have long strings (it will be better for sure soon)!

My favorite tricks are:
Moebius
Toe Blur
Atomsmasher
Ripstein
Ripped Warrior

My "best" tricks are:
Whirlwind
Superduperfly
Montage (once really good executed, confirmed by Tamas Tilly)
Blurry Merlin
Pixie Merlin
Far symposium Blink
Beta Reactor
Alpha Fusion
Fury
Janiwalker

I'm planning to write here at least after every session!
I hope you will like my blog!

I wish a nice day, and life to everyone!

Smile :D :!: :!: :!:

Hey again!

I would like to post a few words about today's session!

We played about 1,5 hours in a gymn with Tom Tilly, who is actually one of my best friends!
He wasn't as good as he usually is (we are about at the same level, but we have different styles, and trick selection)!
But for me it was the best session in the past month (the main reason, why I made this blog  )!

Some highlights from this session:

Fairy whirl
Flipside Moebius
Quantum DLO

And I also hit my best Sick3 ever!
Symposium Quantum Mirage - Pixie Drifter - PS Eggbeater
It felt really good!

Good bye, see you soon :) !

Hey everyone!

It's a shame that I post just now, but I had chance to play only yesterday ! :?

We had a session with Grek and Tom Tilly. We were supposed to meet at 5 pm, but I was there only in time... Grek arrived about 45 minutes later, and Tamas 1h 15 mins later! :o
As a suprise Zsuzsi - a very good friend of mine - visited me, and later she invited her mother, sister and brother, because, they had a "party" or something in a kindergarden nearby. I was very happy about them!

Despite of the fact, that my controll wasn't the best there were still some highlights:

Finally I hit these moves:
Whirlygig, flipside Bedwetter, flipside Fog, flipside gyro DLO, and Quantum Drifter (almost on flipside as well)
I was really close to these before!

I also hit 2 new moves, I was not even thining about:
Sympusium Flurry (once clean but ugly, than clean and quite good executed)
Toe near Symposium Blink

I had a good run (compared to myself) with Symp Bubba BSOS, PDX DLO BSOS, PDX Eggbeater BSOS and Bad weather BSOS (first ever on flipside).
I hit flipside PS Whirl after a pass from Grek.
I know these last two things are not big deals, but for me they are! As I mentioned before, I'm pretty one sided, but these are showing my improvement I guess! :D

After the session a futsal trainer asked us, if we want to make a performance between two halftimes of their game to the audience!
We answered "yes of yourse", because it' a really good chance to promote footbag 8) !

All in all it I really enjoyed this session!:)

I hope I'll wirte earlier than a week next time!

edit: I forgot to mention 2 tricks, I hit just for fun:
Fairy Butterflying Gyro Toe, Heel set Toe Blur :)

Thank you! 8)

Sooo, we made the performance yesterday and the audience liked it! Unfortunately we were a bit too far from them, and made some mistakes, but practice makes the master! :) We haven't done performance for about a year, and we could practice only once!

We had an outdoor session (it was 17 degrees on 13rd of november :o ), but it was'nt that memorable, but at least we had fresh air, and natural light!

Just after the performance we played in the gymn, and it was awsome! We used our bigger footbags (for better visibility), and I had really great controll, what made me practice drills (in order to improve my flipside) and try tricks, I wanted to hit for long time!
So I hit:
Paradox Whirling Swirl
Your Mom
(both confirmed by Tamas)
They felt really good, I think both were relaxed, and well controlled.

I also hit a trick what is by faaar over my technical level:
RAGE

I don't even remember what made me to try it... I'm quite good at Merlins, and my strong Barrage/Barraging is ok. But come on! I thought if I hit this trick I hit it in years not now...I just felt "how is it". It was also confirmed by Tamas who was watching in on purpose.
I think it's an intuitive thing. This is how I learned quantums both sides. I never tried them, and on one session, I hit Toe Blur and Tripwalk BS.
I watched this video yesterday, and I think that Barraging Ps Eggbeater in slowmo at 0:47 gave me an idea about Barraging symposium tricks:

All in all it was a really great session, I felt myself really balanced and relaxed.

I hope for posting soon!

(Sorry for my bad grammar, I probably use non-existing terms some times! :P )

Hey modified!

I haven't post for a while. The main reason that I hurt both of my knees a little bit on the session we had just after the performance. Than one week later, I played football, and it made worse.
I decided that I need a short brake to let my body regenerate perfectly.
Than yesterday Mike Marshall come into my mind... Why has he made the first footbag? Of course! To train the muscles without hurting the joints. So we played footbag with Tamas. Of course I was shredding like normally, but did kicks, basic stalls, and such. At the and I was happy, because, my knees were fine! :)

I know it's a little bit stupid, but I could'nt stand not trying something new, so I hit 2 new fun trick on both sides:
Toe Inspinning Toe
Drifter Rake

Oh, and I forget to write in one of my previous posts, that I hit Bladerunner on my strong side, wich is good for me, 'cause it my flip eggbeater. I'll get it on flipside (flip atomic) next time!

I wish you a happy winter by the way!

My knees are far better now, I'll play today as well, but still in a gentle way!
