I thought that this might be of use to some of you, since many of the principles of shooting skateboarding apply to footbag. It's a nice, relatively non-technical introduction to how frame rates and shutter speeds work together to produce good quality action shots.
This probably doesn't help to the majority of us whose cameras do not provide the level of control needed for manipulating shots like this, but I figure that it can't hurt to have a basic understanding of the underlying mechanics. It's less than 4 minutes:
