Best filler for beginners?

Going to be stitching my first footbag ever, hoping it will turn out well with 32 panels. Need to know what the best filler is for beginners. I don't really want sand, as that will leak. I did have a 14 panel Sandmaster footbag but somebody at school borrowed it and it went missing. What material should i use for the outside? Is microsuede good? I was thinking about copper BBs since those are cheap and I can get them at Walmart since it's close and won't take a week for delivery...

so for starters i would recommend anything that is heavy enough to give you the weight you want without having the bag more than 50% filled. if copper beads can do that for you you´re good to go. i´d suggest platted lead tho. its heavier and you can still put in some plastic beads if you want more filler in the bag.

sand would be good as well, but your stitching needs to be extra tight for that. i made a sand bag that didnt leak once, but it had too many stitches per edge.

Alright, thanks. I've never stitched so a sand bag probably wouldn't be very good.
