Croatia! Bosnia! Montenegro!

Post by dp »

I will be doing an intensive Croatian language program at the University of Zadar on the Croatian coast from the end of May until July 6th this summer. I have distant relatives in Croatia and will probably travel to Zagreb at some point afterwards to visit them and then out to the eastern part of Croatia where my grandfather spent much of his childhood. I'm also hoping to go to Montenegro and maybe Bosnia as well.

So, the question, are there any footbag players in the former Yugoslavia? I don't play too much footbag anymore but I still have all the shoes and bags and can whip out a blurry drifter or some shitty BOP-filled guiltless strings if the opportunity arises. Should I bring my shoes? Should I plan to meet up with anyone? I will be there probably until late July or early August.

Anyone who could point me to some players (preferably in Croatia as that is where I will be most the time) would be a cool cat as far as I'm concerned.

Dunno about Croatia and Montenegro, but I remember there being a Bosnian footbag crew, called Kšte. One of their guys visited us in Slovenia a few years ago, but we never heard from them again...

Anywayz, Slovenia (Celje) is close to Zadar, you are very welcomed to drop by :D

Send me a PM and we can arrange it.

Kšte crew was from Serbia, not Bosnia. I met them in Bulgaria in 2004 at an event, still wear their crew t-shirt often. When I went to Belgrade last year, I contacted them for a shred. One of them has moved to London, and the other one didn't respond. Other than that, I don't remember whether or not I searched footbag.org excessively for players in that area, but I ended up having solo sessions in Belgrade...
