Magic: the Gathering followers?

Post by MegaFighter_X »

I was talking with one of my girlfriends friends, and found out she played Magic. That inspired me to find the demo of the game from Micropose. I then remembered that I could find the entire thing on kazaa... I did.. and it is (still) good. My question is this... Has anyone else played this kickass, yet elusive, game? And I don't mean Shandlar.. that's just nuts...

You DO know that it was originaly, and still is exclusively, a card game right? The computer versions aren't great I've heard...

I used to play, I had a red and black weenie deck, and a green and red, burn weenie thingy. Claim to fame - Came eighth in a local tournament with a red burn deck WOO! Sold my cards for ridiculously little money 6 years ago. I miss my thawing glaciers.

I used to play, but it started getting boring. My dad still plays all the time, though. I was always the master of Goblin decks... especially in Type I

Yeah when I used to be in Scouts was when I was first exposed to it as well... did that card happen to be Savanah Lions? A white 2/2 for one plain? Cuz that's a crazy card... any 2/2 for one is unheard of.

It was actually 2/1 for W. Yes, I know it was strictly a card game before a PC game. Micropose captured the essence of it when they made it. Each successive game sucked balls.

HELL YES, I was the king of magic. I really think I could have competed in tournaments and stuff and done pretty well. 2 or 3 years ago I had a tournament legal artifact deck that totally owned. I still have it, and if my friends ever wanna play I usually use it.

First of all jon, I don't play anymore... nor do many people. But even if I/they did, who cares? Are you saying that there isn't even ONE thing about you that is nerdy, or at least not "mainstream" or popular?

Well, you're in compsci... go code some program that will have more success than the game of magic. :P
