Filler concept

I am thinking about filling my bags with a break-in filler and including a refill pack with the performance filler and a straw. I have had some feedback that during the break-in, some of the filler breaks down. I will use a mild rounded pellet with the right weight and once the bag is nice and gushy, then switch the fillers. This might help some of you who have a hard time breaking in my bags. I want to help with this process as much as I can to insure that my bag delivers everything they promise to. Give me some feedback on this topic.

my only concern would be people breaking threads/ opening up holes/ etc. while trying to change the filler. not every one has the know how to do this properly, people like me might ruine the bag, and right after it was nicely worked in too!

well I am sure that problem could be avoided with a little handout that could come with every bag, just maybe a pic of where to put the straw and a paragraph explanation. Most 32 dont have the hexs sewn togeather so an valid explanation would be "stick the straw inbetween where two 6 edged pieces meet"

well this idea sounds great but richie(not banging on your bags)the mini you sold me has such tight stiching that getting a straw in there big enough to allow things like small bb's etc,is extremely hard and would probably break a stich..once it breaks in more and loosens up some ill give a whirl.but yea this whole 2 filler idea sounds great!like carol wedemyer using aquarium rocks taht break apart later one,you can just swap that out with a more stable filler and be good to go!

I was going to say the same thing. While looking at my mini, I thought that there was no way in hell I would ever get a straw into there, lol.

If the soprt wants broken in 32s for $50, then I can make it happen. Shipping time will be delayed a bit, but the bags will be broken in to stage 2. Stage 2 is ready to start playing with and will be rolly for a couple of sessions, but then pure bliss.Let me know.

Would you keep the options open? Like do you want your bag broken in or fresh? Do you want a break-in filler and a performance one? I ask because I think somepeople really enjoy breaking in their bag- it's kinda like a bond between them.
I'm just curious.

I would definitely like a broken in bag, but I don't think the breaking in is worth 20 dollars more of the price.

Maybe something like 5 dollars more on the price of a bag for breaking in woudl be more adequate, because I'm sure Richie has a ton of his bags already broken in, so it's not a great problem to him.

I don't really think that it's a good idea sell a broken-in bag for 50 bucks guys. There is no way I’d personally get it. I would buy a Carol or a Wilson bag instead and have no problems with refilling an abshire (which is ridiculous for me because when I pay for a bag I use it to bust tricks, there is nothing else I should be worried about) or buying an expensive broken-in bag.

Yeah, it was a great suggestion, and I've actually thought of something like that before ... All I'm saying is I don't think the service you are getting is worth another 20 bucks tacked onto the bag. If it was 5 dollars extra, I would almost assuredly go for it at some point in time.

it was a very good idea and i can see where some would want this so it might be a good idea for them. but for me i like to break in the bag. it gives me time to really look at it and see the pattern and i learn alot about how there stiched just from watching the breakin process occur

I think having options is a splendid idea!

If Richie is willing to do it, and some people are willing to pay for it, why not let them pay?
And if others love breaking their own bag in, then let them do that too!

I'm all for this idea!

Hey I'm not nearly expeirienced enough to offer any sort of usefull information on this topic, however I am wondering where Abshire bags are 30 dollars, because I just checked blurryworld and they are 40... am I getting something wrong here...

$50 wouldn't be all that bad,only thing is exchange rate sucks and it would be like $65 or so Canadian.

it all comes down to choice.

maybe, without makin offense richie, u should change ur stitchin style to make sure it doesnt take a bag over 4 months to break in.
