I start with all three, cause we always link up a trade, so from the start, you've got a balanced crew.

Bulbasaur!!! I originally picked squirtle when I got the game, but decided that Bulbasaur was way better because Venusaur pwns Blastoise. Solar Beam > j00.

imho

pokemon is bleh

too cutesy for my time

In fact im totally turned off from all rpg type games ever since my star wars galaxies stint. Plenty of other things I could be doing with my time... Like blowing up balloons, or visiting the zoo.

o man I got pokemon for christmas a long time ago. I had no idea what it was at the time, it was just so... mysterious. I chose charmander at first.

Pokemon became the biggest fad to ever come through this area. Every store in town was sold out of any kind of pokemon merchandise, and when a store would get some in everybody would be there. Pokemon cards were the biggest, they made us kids go CRAZY.

I remember coming home every single day after school and sitting on the couch playing pokemon for like 6 hours straight. Then my dad would come home and make fun of me for it. One of the most amazing games I have ever played though (along with counter-strike, and civ II)

i used to do the cheat where you'd fly to one little town, tell the guy that ask you a certain question and you answer no,then go surf ont eh bank of this shore and you run into all sorts of glitched pokemon like lvl 134 charmanders etc and the one that had no name, itw as just a bunch of symbols messed up.what you do is get the "master ball" and put it in the 6th spot on your backpack, catch taht weird pokemon guy, knock him out, then go deposit your item in the 6th spot and you could get 99 of em..i had like 600 master balls, super potions etc

edit:how is the new ruby and saphire ones?

Ryan I remember that trick. Hahahaha... good times good times. Wow, thinking back on that, that was almost 6 years ago in my life. So much has changed since then. Although, I do still own my white notebook with my nearly completed original and jungle Pokemon card sets in my closet. Hmmm... yeah I think I picked Bulbasaur as well. Can't remember. That game absorbed my life for about a year.

i havent played in ages. i liked bulbasaur best too.
i was on tour and this girl asked to play and she saved her game over mine.......she was like, "look i saved!". and i was like.... "...". i was just beating those guys in indago plateau, or whatever, over and over again anyway :D i never got to trade. i forget how many i had.
i love pokemon!

i love the mangas by toshihiro ono!!!!!
i have the tpb's and the single issues. he drew really huge breasts and they chopped them out in the collections cause kids buy them. i thought that was really funny.

Squirtle all the way.

According to Nintendo Power stats, Blastoise was on the top 10 (not too sure) best pokemon list in the game, with Mewtwo being the best.

My best line up would so own all of yours 8)

Blastoise
Mewtwo
Zapdos
Dragonite
Mew
Articuno

And one of my friends best teams...

Mewtwo x6

I would have to say that my favorite Pokemon in all the original 151 would have to be... the one resembling Scyther but he was a fossilized one (one of the two. The other was an Omastar I do believe). I can't remember the name off hand :/

How was anyone here getting mew? There was NO way to get him in the original cartridges when they came to america. So either you went to a pokemon convention and got it traded to you from someone who was trading them and was an official rep. from nintendo or you had a japanese cartridge.

Hey Rob, I was about to post about getting Mew. I never got him.

My line up was pretty strong, but ive forgotten what it was. I use to try and raise each type of pokemon to its full level.

man i don't know how you guys raise your pokemon to lvl 99. i didn't have the patience. but most of the time in rpg's i try to beat the game at the lowest possible level for added difficulty.

i never had any of those badass pokemon like mewtwo or the ancient ones but my jinx would lovely kiss your ass and you would be DONE!

Caleb the way to do that was to do the multiple items trick mentioned above and do it with rare candies.
