I was wondering why so many people wear them? I have aches in my upper inner knee, and hand pressure helps, would it be worth buying one to help the pain, or do most people just like the look?
I think they have them at like.. albertsons or something.. check it out. If not, a pharmacy may have something like it. or you coudl always use an ace bandage... Just wrap it right... That'll take practice..
Honza uses what's called a 'Patella strap'. Although I don't know why, or what it does for him. I think it gives the patella (or knee cap) support.
I only use my knee brace when my knee is causing me some discomfort due to strain, or sprain.
Wearing the knee strap can help with patellar tendonitis or osgood schlatters. Sometimes you will hear it commonly known as jumper's knee. Most of the soreness will be felt where the tendon connects above your shin, or right below where the strap is placed. The pressure from the strap relieves the pressure from the tendon below your patella when in use.
