lonely

Post by Fu Xi »

School ends in 2 days, and it seems I'll be spending this whole summer alone. I have friends at school but whenever I ask them to do something out of school they always never want to. So it seems like this will be a very depressing summer.

I just finished being a freshman in high school and was wondering if this was a phase or what. Help?

I dunno if it's a phase man. I'll be a freshman in College next year, and this summer looks to be pretty much the same for me.

I felt the exact same way, i just finished freshman year of highschool as well. I knew a whole bunch of people at school, but I never had a group of people that i hang out with outside of school, and no really close friends like that. I figured this summer would be boring as hell, but i have done more in the past week than i have ever done in a summer. The secret is, grow your hair long. As soon as I did this, I had like 9 girls on me asking me to go out every night. It might not work for everyone but... whatever

+5 insightful. Since I grew my hair out, I've had more dates in an average month that in my average year with short hair.

A job was on my mind, I'm looking for something behind the scenes... I'm terrible working with people.

Once a footbag camp is created I'll be all set.

Or a girlfriend would be nice, but people say I'm too shy.

I must say that post inspired me Damon... Thanks a lot.

One more question, everyone around here seems to go to parties and such just to drink beer/drugs and they are same age as me, 15ish. This is also a major reason I dont hang out with those types. And honestly, almost every girl in the school drinks... Now I know what the answer will be, but just post em anyway...

I'm still pumped from that post!

I went through that phase in highschool. I found highschool to be very clicky... with none of the cliques being all that entertaining. so... I made friends through footbag! ;)

PS: My friends and I have way more fun not drinking. In fact we hope to someday make an anti-drinking video about all the nifty things that can be done for a price of a six-pack. 8)

I'm 15 too. Just finished Freshman year. Damn bored also. I find that I'm just to lazy to do anything. I think bowling would be fun, but then I think I would have to put some clothes on and I dont wont to do that. I think I'll just stick to being lazy this summer, when school starts I'll do something.

You show up one time without any pants on...Damn they get angry. Also everytime I come back from my local bowling alley, I smell like cat vomit and a delicious chesse/corn snack. I wish I could have the chesse/corn smell without the vomit but I never get my way.

I thought I was facing a pretty similar situation with nothing planned and nothing to do for a gd 2 and a half months but i did what Flexthis said, I grabbed any opportunity. I've now got a place on the event crew of a week long festival and have got other cool stuff happening with guys in my city that I'm gonna be in, I dont know how its gonna go cos I've never met the majority of these people but hey its all an experience!

I'm going to be a junior in high school and I don't plan on being bored at all this summer... I don't have like a large group of friends at school, but I have two friends that I do everything with, it makes everything more fun. We usualy just footbag and film short movies to fill our time, but those are both sort of wierd hobbies... growing your hair out is deffanatly awsome although I have never actually had it short. I guess my only advice would be a few good friends are better then a lot of aquantences. Also this may seem like wierd advice but if you go to church it probably has a youth group, and those are usualy pretty cool, at least mine is, we just went on a house boat trip thing for a week and it was great. Plus we hang out and have pool parties every week so that's awsome, and its church so you don't really feel excluded, and you can just show up. As for drinking and drugs, I would just have to say don't get into that kind of stuff, it has never really appealed to me and I don't see why it should, it seems to me like it is a weak way out of pain...

If you abuse them, then it's a weak way out, in my opinion. But drugs and alcohol are crappy to get into. They will leave a nice chip in your wallet and will possibly kill your body in some way.
