footjam04 - 14min 50mb

Post by krawallier »

i have edited the best of my 4 and a half hours of footage into a 14 min video. most of the footage is from the show and from tired sunday shred.
some of the featured players are:
allan hagget
honza weber
karim daouk
renato zülli
yves kreil
and too little vasek klouda...

enjoy! 14 min - 50 mb - divx

this is my first video i have edited in quite a while, so i would appreciate critics and comments. positive and negative. i know i should have been filming more instead of shredding all the time... more footage would have been better. but i guess that's always true.

wow footjam looked like soo much fun

great vid max

i really like how u kept the original sound and mixed it in with other shred ... that was awesome

i also liked how u showed some of the other things that went on ... like the dancers and the dj ...

the trials part with Allan was crazy ...

one question ... why does the vid quality change at 13:35?

great that you liked it - the footage at the end actually is from the beginning of the show - and i forgot to switch the white balance on "indoor" when the show started, so my camera couldn't handle the artificial bright spotlights.... i tried to level it out with effects on premiere afterwards, it was even worse before! now i think it is tolerable...

ps: footjam really was soo much more fun than 14 minutes!

Allan is too good.
Dexter is too funny.
Karim is too insane.
Yves is too skinny, as well as sick.

That was so sick. The performance aspect of that Jam seems incredibly new to me... but so awesome! Man... that looked like it was so much fun to be a part of. The Allan trials were so nice... the Vasek stuff at the end was a great surprise... it was all awesome!

Yeah... Yves does look kind of malnourished.

that video was awesome.. I like how you overlaped the edited shred to the routine music... The shred was excellent and you knew what to slo-mo.. This was some pro shit... Yves busted sickly with all those atomsashers. I think i got radiation in my eye.

Max: really sweet editing!
criticism: I thought some of the footbag shots on the stage were simply too dark to be exploitable.
the shots outside were of really really nice quality though! Nice slow-mos and again nice editing with the footbag/breakers
thanks for the vid!

i am happy to hear that you all liked it - thank you!

@max: i am not sure which shots you are talking about ... if you mean yves playing on stage without music while i film walking around him, i actually liked the shot so much because you could see so little, but hear everything... maybe that aspect got lost on the compression.

2yves: i think he actually was still down 3 kilos from his normal weight because of the flu he had earlier that month - but he really isn't the heaviest around, that's true  oh and remember that the footage of yves and ales was from a ca. 10min session on stage with weird circumstances, that was under-average shred by both of them, we all know that they can really bust bigger than that!

thanks for your appreciation again!

Man! That looks like one of the coolest footbag tournaments EVER...
I love watching Allan kick and I'm stoked he finally made it out to Europe to shred with you guys. Still no snips of Verena's "epic" finals routine that she took 1st with :-( I'm dying to see that...or at least her shred...I just keep hearing about how good she has gotten. Us North American girls wanna see the competition!!!! ;-)

Anyway, sweet vid I'm sorry I missed this event.

P.S. How do you guys see in the dark with so many flashing lights? I always wonder about that when I see some of the footage from the European events (FootJam, Todexon, etc.).

yves atom smasher record used to be 19 last winter. i think it is somewhat over 20 by now, i have to ask him though ...

about the lights - for routines, the light on stage was really good (for example renis footage is all from his routine - i think you can see that the lighting was good before - but the other stuff was only show, so that's another story.

maybe i'll manage to put up some women's routine, i don't know

good to hear that you liked the video, though i would really appreciate some harsh critical comments! (as long as they are reasonable of course)

well, some of the parts are really choppy, as in they aren't very smooth
