Hello all, yesterday my club successfully hosted it's first videoJam. We're planning on having one a month with the next set for early-mid July and the third in September. The concept of the jam is very simple: you need one camer and that's about it.
We had nine players compete (competition fee is 1€ per person), and had these events all run one straight after the other:
- shred 30, sick 3, sick 1, battle (closely ressembles most rippin run)
the whole event was done in 37 minutes! (+ 30 mins to judge the shred 30 runs)
The concept here, is to have these small events run one afetr the other in a short timespan, they are filmed and the best of the competitors get a short clip on the net (they'll be up shortly).
These are not organised events so to speak, there is no media coverage (except our camera), we're not looking to attract crowds or foreign players, we just wanted to have these quick monthly jams and a short video recap so regular players can track their evolution over time.
Yet if any foreign players do come and visit us in France, we'll probably host one to coincide with their stay in Paris.

Anyway I recommend clubs that can have access to a camera to try this format out. It's very very very little hassle, and the long term benefits are great. Oh and the winners of shred 30 and battle win a can of Pilsner Urquell (czeck beer)!!
