How this section works
This section is for keeping your very own footbag diary. You can come on in an tell it whatever you want to keep track of your progression or in my case regression
. You can track what you hope to hit, who you hope to play with, or even your feelings about that girl or guy that was checking you out in the circle

Nice idea, there are several people who had the same idea before but finally one have done it- thanks a lot Brad!
I hope you will find a good way to arrange the topics.
Maybe it would be good if all people have the same thread title.
But there should be an opportunity to discuss the training methods or whatever ( maybe another section).
Thanks for introducing the footblogs .

Just a suggestion, make a dedicated thread (sticky as well) made for people directing questions and comments towards other shredders about their Footblogs. Also, make it known that spam should be kept to a minimum, and only post if you have something at least somewhat constructive to say (i.e. - NOT something like "Yeah I agree" as an entire post) .
Peace.

Thanks Jeremy
.
EDIT - Something I just thought of, these footblogs might actually encourage people to get better, hit new stuff and generally improve their game. It's always nice being able to tell people about your game and how it's going, so the footblog is a formal way to tell the masses about the shit you're hitting. Well, it's definately encouraging to get better to me anyways.

I'm glad people like this idea! Definitly Allan H deserves most of the credit. Thanks Brad for putting this up. I actually e
nvisaged that people would be able to comment in other people's blogs, but I guess if you would like people to comment you can mention that in your blog! I hope people are encouraged to improve.

I know this is probably way too much work just to implement a blog feature, but if the structure was changed from
footblogs::UserBlog
to footblogs::User::UserBlogEntry where each user is given a topic under the blog topic, and each blog entry is it's own thread.
then people could respond and it wouldn't clutter the blogging. I imagine this would be a huge headache to dynamically generate new forums on the fly . . . but it's an idea.

I recommend to make an example blog which is sticky.
The first post in every thread should look the same.
So it is possible to see how much the player hit or is working on.
My suggestions to the first post:
It should include all tricks which you able to hit
you should start with two adds move and end at your one hit wonders.
you should add if your are tiltless guiltles or whatever
you should write your favourite strings/combos
and on what moves /concepts you are working on these days.
it is quite clear for me that this will take you much time but it would be awesome if the first post has the style of an standardized player profile ...
maybe one of the mods is able to do this with a faked name and we can answer to the design of the faked player card .
i will definatly do this after my exams.
what do you think?

Yeah I think it's a good idea, but I also like people's blogs being written however they like - It's cool that everyone has their own personal style of writing them in my opinion.
I also think writing every trick you can hit is a little ambitious. I suspect that would take some time for the older players. Especially if you start counting tricks that you've hit once while mucking around and never really attempted again - things for me like pixie symp rev whirling x body rake and pixie reverse swirling x body rake. And then there are moves that I'm not sure if I have hit or not, but that I could hit first attempt if I tried - like stepping ss pickup.
actually I'll edit the first post of mine to fit your format and see how it works!
Edit: I gave up writing every trick. Perhaps some common sense is needed - like only writing the tricks you think are important. If I can hit blurriest, I probably don't need to write that I can hit ripwalks or barflys etc.

Sorry for the double post, but I want everybody who checks this forum to read this post.
At the moment I have no moderating powers in this forum - I guess we didn't think it would be neccessary. However when Brad gets back from holiday (I think he'll be away for about ten days) I'll tell him I think moderators should have powers in this section.
I do not think it's acceptable to carryout personal disputes in the blogs. If you have a personal dispute with someone - let them know in a PM. If somebody makes an initial post that involves a dispute between that person and yourself you should not comment in their blogs. If you feel that they have defamed you - send a pm to a moderator or the owner of the blog. The only comments to be made by other people in blogs are either postive or questioning comments.
I'll also endevour to stop people from being able to post as guests. Moderators can check the ip of all posts anyway, so chances are, we will know who you are.
