Shred 30 Scoring?

Post by sampotter »

I was looking around for how this is done and calculated, but couldn't come up with any results. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Thanks

* Shred:30 rules:

Shred contest will be more controlled and consistent than in the past, and for all clarification purposes, this is what to expect:

1. Your first add starts the clock and your first "real trick" starts your score. For example, if you start with Toe Stall > Clipper Stall > Ripwalk, the clock will start on the Toe Stall, and you score starts counting on your Ripwalk.
2. The last move of your run will be the one last *set* before the buzzer.
3. Uniques are 3 adds and higher for all divisions.
4. A digital clock and buzzer will be utilized for utmost accurate time counts during the event.
5. As usual, score = adds + (uniques x add ratio).

What effect do drops have on your score? Are they contacts that are 0 adds, or what?

yeah drops are 0 add contacts and it also means you waste time picking up the bag and continuing.

Some players have another bag in theire hand to not pick up the bag from ground.

Does anyone know, if you pick up the bag after a drop and place it on your toe, will that count as a 1 add toe delay contact, or not count as a contact, or what?

I don't know if this is right, but If you place bage on your toe with your hand then it isn't 1add contact, but when you throw bag in the air and catch it with your toe the it is one add contact. I hope that everyone know about what I'm talking :D

But maybe I'm wrong :P

You're right. So in my last couple of shred 30s I dropped, picked it up and went toe>clipper>move which killed any chance I had of getting a good score. lots of players either drop into a butterfly or scrape/place it on their toe.
