Expired Drivers License!!

Hey everyone, my drivers license is expired, and the DMV usually takes 3-4 weeks to mail a new one. Triple A (AAA) says I would be able to go to Canada for Worlds, but they said I won't be able to come back into the US. Anyone know for sure how I can do this? I will be driving across the border, if that makes a difference.

EDIT: Also, I need 2 ways to prove my citizenship in the US. I don't have a passport either

Am I screwed??

as long as u have a valid picture ID and your birth certificate/social security card. i dont know why they would have a problem even with an expired driver license.
