Leather Lavers.

For anyone that has modded leather lavers, Did you take the leather off behind the ankle? If it even is possible. Cause from the way on Flipsider. I was thinking of taking off both inside and outside pannels. Even though the outside isn't that important. It should make the shoe lighter and move flexible. And then if it is possible to take it off the anle area to. So its just the under material and no leather on the shoe.

I wouldn't think that's the best idea. From the looks of it, the leather runs all the way up and over and down into the inside of the shoe, so you might just be left with nothing.

I'm also starting to think leather lavers aren't all their cracked up to be. Sure, they're ten times easier to modify, but the remaining cloth isn't nearly as thin as modified mesh, and it's just that--cloth. It's not as well constructed as the mesh, and doesn't hold together as well. I've only had my leathers a couple months, and holes are already wearing through the cloth, just from where I crank my toes. The cloth is also separating from the shoe down at the soles, and also up at the top, near the eyelets.

Not to mention the soles already wearing down to my toes...

i also dont like le's because where it moded there are ridges that affect your stalls and shit... maybe its because i love mesh!?

Ok,then I wont take the leather off the ankles. I would get mesh its just they arn't in the price range. And the price I am able to get the leathers for is like a steal.

Stephen: The reason yours are falling apart is because you weren't careful enough when modding them. The places they are blowing out are all the places you cut into the cloth. I made that mistake on my first leathers and they blew out in all those places. On my second pair I was insanely careful and they are holding together perfectly. Don't blame the shoes, blame yourself, you fucked up!

And Shaun: Don't take off the leather from around the heel, underneith that is not the same as the other leather parts, you would lose alot of structural rigidity and they would look fucking stupid.

I took off the leather from the outsides of my first pair but didn't bother on my second. I think the leather sides look pretty pimp. And honestly, how much weight do you really think you're saving?

Heh, I don't think I cut through the cloth right in the middle of the toe box, right where my big toe sticks out. The cloth just wore away. It's in the same spot on both shoes. It's starting to do the same thing on part of the inside surface, in the same spot on both shoes.
There are holes that are wearing away from where I accidentally cut into the cloth, but that's not what these are.
The soles are also wearing out about 4 times as fast as my old lavers, and I'm wearing them less than half as much as I used to.

I HIGHLY doubt they make them with different soles. There is no point in that.
