WMP Help!

Post by Jeremy »

Recently I've been having some problems with Windows Media Player. In particular getting some videos that used to play no longer show any vision and others freeze after about 2 seconds (sound countinues). I have no idea what the problem is. I'm running windows xp and have all the relevant codecs and updates.

This hasn't been much of a problem until right now - because neither of the Lovely vids are working (the vision freezes early on) - I'm talking about the CSS5 vid and the Worlds vids.

If anybody has any idea how I can fix this problem, please let me know! I really want to watch these vids!!!!!

You know, I just realized that I have WMP 10 Beta. Maybe try that, although I highly doubt it would change anything. You can find it on Microsoft's site. Other than that man, I have no idea. Sorry. Sure you got all the codecs? That would be my guess... maybe try divx player?

Jeremy, maybe you can convert them into an .avi or .mpg file?! That way you can watch them on RealPlayer. If not, try Winamp like Aleksi suggested. This used to happen to my .avi files and not my .wmv files, so I don't really know what to suggest. Hope it helps!

Windows Media Player is a piece of crap.
Download Windows Meida Classic. It's what I use. It will play everything your Windows Media Player played, plus more, without the annoying updates, and it's a simple exe file -- nothing to it.
