I'm going to try to start stitching, and I have a few questions if any bag stitchers could help me out.

Ultrasuede and Ultrasuede light: Which is preffered/reccomended?

I've called many local fabric shops in my area and none carry either material, so I'm going to look to the internet to buy the fabric. One problem though, people that I've talked to about Ultrasuede have mentioned using it for drapes and such, so I don't even know if I'm looking at the right stuff.

Basically I'm wondering if the above things are the right "type" of Ultrasuede that I should be using for stitching bags.

Also, is eBay a good place to get the fabric for cheap? I'm a good eBayer so don't reply telling me about unreliability with shipping and stuff. I'm talking about quality of the Ultrasuede and pricing. And if anyone knows and good online shops that ship to Atlantic Canada, with good prices, I'd appreciate knowing them.

I have also started to stitch bags, and I could probably answer some of your questions. I would reccomend you to use ultrasuede light because it is thiner, and that is what a lot of the pro stitchers use. I got my material from www.fieldsfabrics.com. They have a very wide selection of ultrasuede light colors.

Pitbull is right.

Ultrasuede is way too thick for footbag material. I buy mine at www.fieldsfabrics.com as well. Check the discontinued stuff for the best prices.

In Canada, UltraSuede Light® is sold under the trade name of Ultima® light.

Thanks you ovetin.... i'm too cheap to buy real in stock u-s lite... maybe I can hope that u-s goes out of certain colors so that the kick-ass ones are on the discontinued shelf?

I am using Aquarium Fish Tank Pebble Beach Pebble Sized Sand Rocks.

They are perfect and olny $1 a lb.

I have some if you want just ask me and I'll send them to you for cheap.
