World Cup!

Olympics, Shmolympics. When the Olympics started, all the excitement that it caused me was to realise that the World Cup directly followed it.

Any of you Fins hockey fans? You guys clobbered the Czech's (revenge for the footbag world championships!), and your captain is my favorite player! After Canada, they're my second favorite.

1. Bash Olympics
2. Promote football competition
3. Bring hockey and footbag into the equation

World Cup of Hockey.

I thought that would be implied by the fact that the world cup of hockey started today, whereas the world cup of football isn't for another two years (to the best of my knowledge).

To elaborate on the rest - in the opening game of the tournament, Finland beat the Czech Republic pretty badly, thus avenging the defeat that Finland (along with the rest of the world) suffered at the hands of the Czech's at Worlds this year.

As a side note, the Olympics were alright, I suppose. I hereby retract my Shmolympic statement.

Are you talking about ice hockey? A sport that's played in about 10 countries?
Or grass hockey that is played in over 40?

I guess he's talking about ice hockey. A sport that's played in 63 countries. Atleast that's how many member countries the International Ice Hockey Federation has.

And yeah we won Czechs yesterday, which was a bit of a surprise since we're not supposed to be that good. I missed the game though due to footbag practise.
