Hacky Sack is a brand name - it's owned by a company called Wham-O who make "Hacky Sack brand footbags" - What you think of as "hacky sack" is most likely circle kicking - where people stand around in a circle trying to keep the bag off the ground. Some people (the people on this forum for example) find that too easy and boring so we do tricks with the bag instead - we stall it and go around it with our feet or do spins and duck under it or jump over it.

You should play it's lots of fun and then it will make more sense you posting on this forum - it is a footbag forum - not a relationship help forum!!

It's hard to explain what I'm talking about so check out this video to see what it's all about!

^^^^^^What he said^^^^^^^^

Okay, Not to be an ass but:

A. Why did you make a whole new thread for this? I think this falls under "My boyfrined age.

B. If you don't play or attempting to play, like Cole said, why are you here?

Sorry, if this came out rough but I just getting frustered by this. I have my question, like I said before, if your telling the truth.
I think I going to take over Canada. You should help.

Ok, first of all, yes, you are too young for sex, and your fiance should not force that on you. So you are right in that regards. As for screwing up your life, no one can predict the future. Starting a relationship (especially a marriage type relationship) at such a young age is just really very unpredictable and though you may not think you are screwing up your life, you very well possibly are.

And yeah, hacky sack isn't footbag. Footbag evolved from hacky sack, but they are definatly not the same.

Personally, though i don't like to be a mean person about this, but if you want to hear anyones opinion that does not sound like mine, i don't suggest posting about it again. Do what you like. Like jeremy owheel said in that other thread, "obviously you must be worrying about something or you wouldn't be asking" (I think thats what he said for the most part). Your decision.

look, it's you're life, and you are free to fuck it up or make it great. through out your life you're going to have alot of choices to make. some times you'll choose right, some times you'll choose wrong, that's how it works. the choices you make now (such as getting married, or even engaged at an early age) may cause many opportunities to pass you by. things you want to do may not be possible because of choices you have made, and like wise, the choices you make now may enable you to succede and make reaching your long term goals much easier. basically i'm saying "look at the bigger picture". weigh your options here very carefully.

do you want to go to university? ever wondered how much a wedding cost? who do you think is going to pay for your post secondary education? your wedding? i'm guessing it'll be your family. so, what do you choose? if you choose marriage, you may have a long wait, costly student loans, who knows what else befor you even attend uni. and will you be living together? probably. so now you have to pay rent, which means alot of that pay check that was being saved for university is now also covering you groceries, electricity, rent, etc. now, say things go wrong, do you know how much a divorce costs? at a young age, who do you think will be paying for that as well? that's right, you and the family. so now your fam has payed for a wedding, a divorce, and you're flipping burgers to pay rent, help cover the cost of your lawyers, and on top of that save up money for university. well, if that's how it works out, then good luck to ya. if you had waited on the marriage, you could already have a degree, possibly more comfortable in your descision to either marry or not marry this guy, and you'd be in a less stressful financial situation. now these are some hypothetiacl sitations of course, but there's a chance it could go either way. so now, we're back at the begining. choices and opportunities. choose wisely. peace.

As an aside, I find it odd that you chose that video to show to someone to explain what footbag is 'all about'.

Considering we don't normally play at fashion shows with baggy shorts, lights, and a bunch of spectators cheering us on like it's a music video, I would say that video is not the best representation of 'what it's all about'.

OMG....that video should never ever ever ever be seen by anyone wanting to know what footbag "is all about".....

:?

Jeebus H christ girl are you still asking the same question? This is either

A) Bullshit

or

B) Proof that you are in no way shape or form mature enough to hold a boys hand without pissing all over your leg let alone marry someone or even pretend (which is what your doing) that you love someone.

I bet his friend is mean to you for the same reasons that I am mean to the younger girls my friends date. They are annoying and not very bright generally. Man i got this one friend I swear hes always hooking up with 17 and 18 year old girls and hes 25. I give him some hella shit just like your "fiance's" friend god damn well better be giving him shit.

I think that vid is one that would get people excited in footbag - which was my goal when posting it - to get somebody excited in footbag. In that vid you can usually see what's happening - even if you've never watched a footbag vid in your life. It looks very impressive - ryan has great style and always looks in control. It's an exciting video - all the stuff going on around ryan looks cool too. It doesn't go for very long - I think non footbaggers get bored watching a 9 minute footbag video.

I agree that it isn't really an accurate representation of footbag - especially in North America, but I didn't actually care about that - I wanted a video that would make somebody want to play footbag after watching. If you have a better example then feel free to let us know what that example is.

I think encouraging people to play the sport is better than showing people exactly what it is (a bunch of guys standing around in small tight shorts getting really sweaty and playing with their sack) :P

i used to be a wicked essay writer. aaand i'm speaking from experience. i'm busy working full time, paying off my car and my visa bill from my europe trips instead of attending university. i made a choice, this is how it worked out, BUT, i regret nothing. my choice wasn't as drastic and life changing as hers is. i just want her to see how every thing can be effected.

I have to say that I think that is one of the meanest and most heartless and insensitive things I have heard in a long time.
Just think about it.... If this girl is really confused and wanting help, and is trying to make a life-altering decision here (never mind the fact that it is obvious that waiting until she is older is the right thing to do) she needs to be listened to and given empathetic and caring responses.

I don't think I have heard someone make a point that crudly and thoughtlessly in a long time. It hurt my feelings to hear that, and I don't even know who this girl is.
Try to think a little before you open your mouth, and consider thinking about how other people feel and put yourself in their shoes. I really can't stress my point enough, but nobody ever gets anywhere being mean, and no one respects people who act immaturly and heartlessly, just try to think about how your post would make a lost little girl feel....
