heres some advice- never tell your art teacher you like bob ross, you wont get a good grade. my art appreciation professor spent the first class talking about how art can be anything and whatever you like is art, but when for an assignment i wrote about a bob ross painting, he laughed cause he doesnt consider bob ross a real artist.

do any of you like bob ross? i think his paintings are awsome, he can bust out a sick painting in 20 minutes, but real art people think he sucks.
also his voice is so soothing- it puts me to sleep and you gotta love the fro

Im a professional artist and Bob Ross is pretty damn good at what he did. He is indeed a "real artist." The man made his living painting for jeebus sake I'd say that puts you into the "real artist" catagory.

Sure he wasn't painting extraordinarily emotional peices of work, but they still were peices of work with emotion in them.

I need to post some pics of my paintings. I need a digi cam though.

Bob Ross is my come-down-chill-out Drug. His paintings are awfully
kitsch, but it's really interesting how he uses a few strokes to create
a realistic looking picture with depth. I don't like the pictures, but
Bob is the shit. May he rest in peace.
