RIP Paul Hester

I know this is kind of old news, but I thought I'd add this anyway.

Paul Hester, the drummer from Crowded House (and formally Split Enz) died on March 26th. He killed himself.


Driving home from work the Sunday night, National radio station 'Triple J' was playing a live show from Crowded House. Just listening to the show brought tears to my eyes. He was a part of something magical, and now he's gone.

He left a wife and children.

It's so sad. The guy was such a character. If ever you've heard a Crowded House live set, you'll know that he was a typical larrikin. But he was also suffering from depression.


This brings me to say... as a sufferer of depression, myself, Don't be afraid to seek help. If you feel like life is getting you down... like there's no hope or NO POINT...

DON'T GIVE UP!

Talk to someone... talk to someone who can help. It's never that bad.


There's nothing wrong with feeling shit. There's nothing wrong with being down... but there's NEVER a reason to end it all. Suicide is never a way out because you'll end up scarring the one's you love (or the ones who love you).
Talk to someone, please.
