Video Footage Required (no video)

For those of you who haven't read the topic in this subforum titled something like "destroying the video market" - David had an excellent idea that I'm going to follow up on.

Basically people send in their footage of skilled players. I edit it onto a dvd and then sell it to the masses. Everybody who contributes to the video gets paid a percentage of any profits, as does the IFPA.

So I need killer footage. It needs to be exclusive too - nobody wants to pay money for something they've seen before. You can email me a link to it - beast9 at gmail.com or you can post it to me (the higher the visual quality of the footage the better0

I hate to be a wet blanket, but the fact is that most people will probably send in edited footage with copywrited music.
Therefore, selling any disks with copywrited music could get you (or the IFPA) into some deep shit.

Just something to keep in mind.

Also, anything that doesn't come in raw DV Video format will not
be DVD-worthy, i.e. one would have to send you a dvd with the raw
footage (which will be BIG), or probably more DVDs. People that
don't have a DVD-Burner will have to use a shitload of CDR's.

An edited raw DV clip of 5 minutes with sound is about 1gb in size.
Keep that in mind.

When I buy a DVD, i expect picture QUALITY. So anything that has
been encoded already has a loss of quality, therefore reducing the
quality of the final DVD.

Just a thought.
