The Truth About Hilary Clinton

Post by Jeremy »

I can't believe how ridiculous American politics is. What the fuck is wrong over there? People's person lives have nothing to do with their ability to be a good politician and being a lesbian or having any connection with lesbians certainly doesn't. I hope all Americans realise that books like that makes Americans (in general) look stupid.

It would be funny if US politics didn't effect the rest of the world so much. It's like little kids having a pretend vote :P I really can't believe somebody would write such a ridiculous book or that it would become a best seller.

Thanks for informing us. I'm glad that you let a few people shape your view of the American population in general.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Dude it's a best seller - that means that more than a few people have bought it.

Also please note the usage of the word "general" - as in lots are. Not all. As in what I said was a generalisation - Clearly I don't think all Americans are stupid - just the 300,000 people already who have bought the book - which is supporting such a rididuculous and imature political move (regardless of if they agree with the book of think it's relevant). And that's within only a very short time - so you can expect much bigger sales.

Firstly, Damon your sig is so damn cool! I want!

Secondly, it is incorect (much like my spelling of that word :?) to imply that every one of the 300k people who bought that book agree with it. I for one would buy a book to read it if I strongly did'nt agree with it.
The main reason most people will have bought the book is because it shocked them.

Am I right?

But by buying the book you're giving money to the person who thought it was a good idea and a legitimate political policy.

I would steal the book happily but I would never buy it. No doubt having said that I'll get it for my birthday - like at Christmas when the day before I commented in the bookshop about some stupid lord of the rings book that I'd only buy the book if I got to shoot the author afterwards (the guy who played Sam) and so naturally I got that book for Christmas.

The main reason I'm not too fond of Mrs. Clinton is due to the fact that she may run for president, and that she may well get the nomination. I would not mind at all, minus the fact that I am a democrat and I would like a canadate to run for my party who might actually have some sembalance of a chance at WINNING. She is way too openly liberal to have any chance whatsoever of winning an election with the conservative bent of mainstream America.
Today is what you make it. So, like, don't screw up the recipe. ^^

Wake up! Groups buy their own books by the thousands just to get them on the best-seller lists. This has been going on for many years. Remember " 'Dianetics' by L. Ron Hubbard"? That spent years and years on the best seller lists. People weren't actually buying that many of his book. The Church of Scientology was buying thousands of copies of its own dumb bible just so they could keep saying that it was a best seller. Some right-wing Democrat-bashing book is probably being funded similarly by right-wing Democrat-bashing groups just to bring it extra attention. They are buying their own book in bulk in order to buy publicity.
