Actually I remember now, It's 'cause my friend Jed was obsessed with this girl at school 'cause he thought she looked like a walrus. Now making fun of my good friends dumbness, we (as in my friends) shout out "wally wally wally!!!" when we're frusterated.... go figure.

When I started hacky sacking I didn't even know you could do tricks, me and my friends just tried to get hacks. Ocassionally we would do a stall or a >leg over[dex]>op clip which we though was called a jester.

Now I'm totally in to freestyle.

Oh, man I'm getting back problems from hacking to much. My dad said that I couldn't shred for a couple days 'cause my back was in too much pain, but I was like "fuck that!!!!"

His actaul quote was "NO more Fucky-Sack!!! I don't want you to have back problems!!!"
Well, at least he care's.

Oh, and good news, NO MORE BACK PAIN!!! :D

OH NO!!!
I was just talking to my dad about him paying for my lavers 'cause I'm broke and he said that he wouldn't get them because I told him how I would mod them and he think's that would ruin them.
Any Ideas on how to convince him?

I think this quote from Matt Cross may trick him into getting them for me.

yo jamo...

I know a lot of players who can do a lot of tricks in non-footbag shoes. I
can rip out a few, here and there, or even do some with bare feet. but
nothing compares to how I can play when i've got my lavers on. They're not
the greatest thing possible, but they're the best thing going right now.

Can tricks be done with your average trainer? yes. but you are really
hindering yourself by using them as your primary freestyle shoe. if you
choose to take footbag seriously, you'll understand the need for
specialized equipment.

footbag is very difficult, especially when you're learning to do the
advanced tricks. the flat, soft surfaces of the laver make your catches
more consistent, where as with the harder, rounder leather surfaces of the
average k-swiss will be more prone to slippage and rolloff, which hurts
your consistency. So, basically, using those kind of average shoes *will*
slow you down.

ask Kevin Regamey. He got really, really good with some non-lavers that
had a similar shape, but not as much sole, and more weight. as soon as he
got lavers, he was much more able to hit clipper tricks, and I believe he
said he was really feeling the difference regarding the weight.

So, do you want to get serious with footbag and progress and be able to
learn good form? or do you want to hinder yourself with something that
won't catch well and will mess you up and slow you down?

it's not making it "a bit" harder on yourself. it's making it much, much
harder on yourself. trust me. Get a cheap pair on ebay, they'll help. That
way, you will be more apt to learn awesome tricks and lead the UK footbag
revolution into worldwide recognition.
