The movie is a huge pile. It's bad science and bullshit philosophy at its worst. Watch it if you want to join the flakey new-age cult that's behind its making.

As far as I could tell, none of the scientific facts given were incorrect, but the filmmakers draw some zany conclusions from them (that's right, understanding Quantum Mechanics won't give you mystical powers!)

If you liked it go get Fred Alan Wolf's cd set. He was the physicist with the white hair beard+mustache and glasses. Its called Dr. Quantum Presents a User's Guide to Your Universe. Its a 6 CD set that's about quantum physics and things along that line. Reffers to studies of many famous scientists such as Albert Einstein.

Edit: Forgot to mention. Yea that whole cult thing is a bunch of shit. Couldn't believe that it was included in the movie. It was an interesting movie but don't base all your thoughts off it until you look into so really quantum physics stuff.

As a philosophy major, and someone who has shown what the bleep to over 10 people, I must disagree with Chris's post, and say that this could very well be the most influencial movie ever made, but it takes seeing it a couple times, listening with an open ear, and testing it out rather than taking it on faith.

I came into the movie already knowing most of the "mystical power" stuff already, in addition to knowing the quantum physics aspects, and still this movie blew me away. I did not however know about the hormone science aspect, and only part of the neuro chemistry.

They do not ask you to take any of what they say on faith. They say scientific facts that are cross referencable, and give exeriencial info about where you can take your life if you try it. They suggest to try to take a minute in the morning and plan out what you want to happen, and ask for a sign that some receptive energy has heard. They tell you that only then will you be able to come to understand what they're talking about in the "creating your reality" aspect. I have had NUMEROUS experiences, and read numerous books on the concept of creating your reality, including Maximum acheivement, The Magic of Thinking Big, Psychic Developement for Begginers, Oneness (the best of them) to name a few...in addition to a very important website that I that I think you all should see. It REALLY does impower you...but it all just seems like hocus pocus unless you give it a try, believe it may work, and be consistant in your efforts JUST TO SEE, and just for a little bit of time...it can do nothing but positive for you...and if it doesn't work for you oh well, it least you didn't turn it away without looking further. It has worked for me...I have made NUMEROUS AMAZING things happen that I never would have believed possible a just a couple years ago when I was a materialistic aethiest...I might not even have believed it last year at this time... and I have many friends who have seen ACTUAL RESULTS as well (and results speak much louder than words...but again, these are just MY WORDS unless you try it out.)

Anyway, the website that I have been reading for 5 years that has the first pieces of the theme mentioned in What The Bleep is www.neilslade.com . Please read some of this website if you have time, and please look at more than a couple of the sections before judging it, and PLEASE, check out the music there, it's AWESOME!

Thanks for listening with an open ear...and please, if you disagree with part of the movie, don't reject the whole thing, it's a bunch of different experts from a bunch of different fields sharing their own knowledge... they've each been studying for years and years to come to know the information they have presented, and I think it sucks when people of no knowledge of the field (or knowledge of only certain fields, or counter knowledge in each of the fields) immeditely discount it because it doesn't fit into the mental box they have contructed. Alll of their knowledge was derived seperately, and they are not "in cahoots" or presenting fiction, they really know... in many cases, it just so happens to agree with the other viewpoints presented. This information could change life as we know it if everyone would apply it and work together towards peace.

1. In addition to the films three directors, there were actors and others involved in the production who are long time "students" of Ramthas' School of enlightenment.

2. A disproportionate amount of time was given in voice and film to Ramtha, Dr. Joe dispenza, and Miceal Ledwith.

3. Dr Joe Dispenza and Miceal Ledwith are both long time students and "appointed teachers at Ramthas' school of enlightenment (RSE)

4. Dr Joe Dispenza (the one who creates his day) has gone to court and testified that his teacher (ramtha) has told him that terrible times are coming and that he needs to protect his family. He also invested over $10,000.00 in an infamous scam that infected RSE and was touted by Ramtha as a vehicle to gain fabulous wealth and many of the schools membership lost substantial sums of money. Some lost their entire life savings.
This is the person who teaches the brain science in RSE.

5.Miceal Ledwith a clergyman with a rather dubious past http://unison.ie/irish_independent/stor ... ue_id=7565 is the one chosen by the film makers to be the theological spokesman. He is also the theologian in residence of RSE.
He also has been marketing several products within the school and its followers. Guess that could not have been done to easily in the Catholic church.

6. The following persons in the film have all spoken at RSE and sold books there.

Fred Allen Wolf
Dr Candice Pert
Amit Gotswami
John Haglin
Joe Dispenza
Miceal Ledwith
and of course the big guy himself, Ramtha

7. One of the scientists who was in the film and had never appeared at the school is Dr David Albert Professor and Director of Philosophical Physics at Columbia university.
He has stated in several venues that his views were totally misrepresented in the film. He claims that in over 5 hours of interviews he explained to the film makers why their concept of how Quantum Physics works has virtually no support in the scientific community.
He even called in to a radio program the director was on to discuss this and was cut off. The host of the show said this was done because it was "negative"
so much for no good or bad, that is unless it is convienent.

8. To date, there has been no response as to where the information which lead to the story about the indians not being able to see the ships of Columbus originated from. There appears to be no evidence to support this claim. In addition, the film mentioned "clipper ships" which were not even in existence at that time. Perhaps that is why they couldn't see them.

I've also read a book about quantum physics and mysticism which was all about the same kind of stuff (the multiverse, uncertainty principle, relativity etc. and how it meant we could have all these amazing powers) and I have to say it's all based on really bad misinterpretations. A lot of the "theory" behind this stuff is based on analogies rather than the actual science (quantum physics uses a lot of analogies because you have to read big text books to understand what's going on otherwise) and a lot of it is not really backed up at all. It's more like a scientists says "here is a theory" - somebody else looks at the theory and says "well if that's true then maybe this is true too" and then these nuts see that loose statement and say "Well then we can definitly do something really unbelievable".

I say spend at least 2 years studying physics - especially nuclear physics and then quantum physics and then I'd like to know if you still believe this stuff.

I'm sure that positive thinking and self belief can have a strong mental effect on a person, but I am equally sure that this stuff is a load of crap (well as sure as you can be, obviously in science nothing can ever be proven - but there are things I guess I am convinced of anyway)

Aye i also disagree with Chris' post. Quantom Physics is almost all theory, and they drew from that and explored those theories indepthly. They never said that anything was concrete.

No offense to you, Chris, but I'm not a big believer in mysticism and have found that it seems to be mostly an avenue for draining wallets. :/

I thought the movie was really lame, mostly because it was so hyped up to be such an awsome movie but i found it to be kinda boring.
The part about the Indians not being able to see Columbus' ships i thought was kinda wack. Why wouldnt they be able to see them? just cause they never saw a ship before? than how does a newborn baby see anything for the first time?
