WOW! I love the flow of the flyer. First I see Hackrifice, then the art, next the when-where-what-who. Great design! Information is clear and easy to read, not too cluttered. Having the whole thing at a slight angle really catches my eye. I also like how the varying line width in your art is repeated in the different weight of the text, it really pulls everything together. Assuming this is the print size, the cursive text underneath your website might come out hard to read.

Funny movie titles if the movie were about poop:
Red
Fast & the Furious
The Green Mile
Children of the Corn
There Will be Blood

Thanks
Zeke. You wouldn't happen to know, offhand, of a more legible handwriting-esque font, would you? I installed a whole TON before I started working on this, but flipping through fonts is so boring, and the first sign of something SOMEWHAT similar to my idea convinced me to stop searching.

Thanks for the comments!!! It's so helpful!

I can't think of any right now. At first I was going to suggest using some formal sans serif (like the the majority of the text alreay used) but I realized that it would lose that 'personal invitation' feel that the cursive font gave it

I've got a few typography books and some fonts to look through... let you know if I come up with anything. Have you tried pinting it yet? Maybe I could be wrong and it will come out clear.

Looks cool, except for the date

Maybe the text on the bottom right could be brought out more:
CASH PRIZES and DJ is a big deal!

Unfortunatly I only have the funds for one travel tourney this year, so yes I am selfishly trieing to not have people be drawn away from funtastiks. but it would also be good for you guys to have a tourney on a weekend when nothing else is going on. I'll stop posting about it now. Regardless of the date-Good luck fellas, take lots O video! Its on the top of my priority list for next year...another year without meeting erik chan and I think I'll go insain!
edit:beaver open is that weekend too!

That is a really cool flyer, Erik.

Like everyone said, it's all clear and straight to the point. And looks cool, too.
Comment in the BCS blog if you feel the need to.

Generic flyer compliment, Eric.

No really though, it is very nice. Are you sure you're not a graphic designer, because that is quite good, my dad has been a graphic designer for like 20 years now so I'm used to critiqueing that sort of thing.
