I think with footbag its about knowing your own limits. During the height of the summer, i made time to play pretty much every day for at least two hours, anything upto 5 on a weekend including net. Aside from one stupid, stupid attempt at a DLO ending in basically a tweaked hip (whoops) I felt no ill effect from doing so. If anything, I felt a whole lot better for it.

I would say though that rest days are just as important as play days. Your body does need to to recover. Shredding every day for a month will take its toll on your muscles and could ultimately lead to injury. I think I read a post on here a while back about taking at least two or three days off in a week was best, but again, its all about personal limits.

yea yesterday my brother and i were kicking back and forth for about an hour or so. i woke up this morning and could barley get out of bed my legs hurt so bad lol. probably the main reason being that i never had any real leg exercise for about a year besides walking lol. it hurts like a b!t¢# but im actually feeling alot more energetic than feeling tired 24/7 like i normaly did. its going to take a real long time before i can pull off an around the world (oww) lol

hey guys i got a crazy idea. how about you put on some ankle weights and kick with them on?
-would it make your legs faster when you take them off?
or...
-would you just be doing more damage than good?

what do you think?

I've never tried them, because every time I see this question come up either someone who has used them or someone whose opinion I really respect says it is a really bad idea.

If you're working on basic kicks, you definitely shouldn't be thinking about hardcore training regimens. Just go kick.

yea true its probably to unnatural to do. like rite now when i kick my hip hurts, and my legs ache the next day. so i guess putting on all of that extra leg weight would probably strain if not pull muscles. and besides, i wasn't going to do it now anyway because im so unskilled that it wouldn't even help. just throwing some ideas out there. :)

Also try stretching more. Actually, you know what? Research how to stretch before stretching, there are threads on modified and probably a million pages of information on the internet that will help. And if you're wearing restrictive clothing, or kicking with a bunch of heavy shit in your pockets, that won't help your hips feel any better either.

If you really want to sit down and figure out how to do everything, how to get started on the right foot, then there's tons of helpful threads on modified. The process is pretty well documented.

Ummm, hard to say. That was a while back. But I was super stiff and awkward when I first tried to kick. It wasn't pretty.

Ales Zelinka played with leg weights for a while and decided it was a waste of time I think. I've never tried it and don't see any reason to.

Yes
I think that ill just go on record as saying this was a joke, just in case :D

If i strap ten pounds of weight to my legs, played, then took them off, yes I would be quicker/better, as i would then be playing with legs weighing 20 pounds less.

I have no idea if trying to shred with weights on your legs would make you any better :)

No, and it doesn't apply to lifting weights either, depending on your training of course. It is good to have a break fairly regularly though. I try to have one day a week where I play no sport or do serious exercise. However at times when I've gone large periods without a break it's been fine too.

I just bought men's shorts, seems like they are designed to solve the problem.
There's this white thin fabric inside that fits as tight underpants.
I can't think of any other reason why you guys would want this 'tight pants into another', right?
Anyway, you won't look like an idiot in these ones :)

Well I'm no professional, but the fitness coach at my football club is, and he has me about to start a 5 times a week weights regime, that involves some variety day to day and some repetition. My understanding is that it depends on what you're trying to achieve with your weight lifting.
