That's just the natural ebb and flow of the year. We'll find pockets of people that come out to a few sessions early on or sporadically through out the year but when it's all said and done, only the hardcore stick around.quadgun wrote:You guys should really stop making up all of these new players.
You make the scene in Chicago seem soo big.

Awesome games of squares yesterday @ Lane. Hacked while warming up and waiting for Reile to show up. Marty won 3 games of 6 square by the time Reile and I jumped in.
Highlander Beta
-no points, first person to ace everyone else wins
-I got lucky and aced the better players first making the last few aces easier. I got the win pretty quick.
Roulette
-Each square is given a rule. The square that a player is eliminated from determines the rule used for the next round
-Spin rule, Tom's rule (5 contacts), Lowest Score Can Spike, and Ace everyone during 4 square
-Added One Eyed Pirate and Ong Bak when we switched to 6 square.
Hilarious game. It was a constant flow of players in and out of the king square due to the different rules. Marty had a strategy of always killing the first square to use the Spin rule; spinning around countless times doesn't seem to affect him much. Not one to be out-strategeried, I kept killing 2nd square and used Toms rule to rack up bunches of cheap points.
-Freddy says I took this game, but I don't remember. I just remember laughing and screaming a lot.
Ace Everyone- play to 50 points
-You take all the points of any player you ace
This was a long, fun and frantic game! Probably one of the more intense matches of the day. It started out with several players accumulating 5-8 points and then one or 2 players acing them to steal their points and jump to totals of 15-20. This kept repeating until 2 people had totals of 40 points or so. Eventually one person had all 90+ points!
-There were tons of great rounds, kills, and saves while we defended like possessed madmen to keep from getting aced. Reile, Twitch, and Freddy had more than their fair share.
-Marty, who had left briefly to drop off Cuba, came back in the middle of this game for the win.
-I had the most fun playing this. Defending your square when you have 90 points is a great way to push your skills.
Double Team
-1 bonus point for players that cooperate to ace another player
-2 points if they ace the king
-Freddy, Marty, Whitey (sometimes) and I tend to co-op very well.
-Another win for me. Racked up about 9 bonus points.

It was hot today. High of 78 with sun! Grrrreat.
Ronnie, Zeke, REILE, Josh, Marty, Nathan, Twitch and his GF, Al, Cuba and I.
My body was literally half asleep at the start, so I was sucking at 4 square and freestyle.
I woke up and won 2 or 3 games of 4 square like a mo. the game point of one was epic. Everyone in the square got a piece of the bag like 3 times over. It kept moving all around with lots of spinning around and getting ready and a bunch of saves. I stepped on what I thought was a rock, but I looked down for 0.1 seconds and was like, damn that rock is a shoe! I kicked it away just in time to return the bag. Then victory. I actually served to Zeke less than usual, cause he was playing really well.
Reile freestyled! Well too, if not for long. Al was doing some nice stuff. Josh owns blurry whirl, or at least has a down payment on it. I played pretty ok. had a nice eggbeater string BSOSin bubba and paradox and same toe.
Chatted with Twitch's GF. She's all about math and science which I can appreciate. She told me she was on track so I ask her to race me. Kind of a weird thing. I'm a fast runner but I ave no competition, so whenever I think someone's a challenge I ask for a race. She said Twitch was fast too, so she, Twich and I ran. I won.
Kick tomorrow with Josh and Al and maybe Chris @ Portage Park

Sesh with Josh and Chris.
I was totally sore from the day before. Even my toe muscles! They still are sore too. After this sesh, and bike ride home, it was hard to walk a it. Gotta work out the kinks and get back into shred shape.
Josh and Chris were playing well. Chris got taller. Josh is smoother than before. Chris had nice strings.
Some people were watching us. Two kids asked if they could, and we're like sure.
Oh yeah Chris asked me to try toe flux, and I hit it smoother than an ironed baby.
