Props to President Bush for the fast reflexes. He must have played dodge ball more than a few times.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Idk if you guys heard the speech after that about freedom, or that is what I thought it was about.
He needs to sharpen his speech-giving skills

Why? He won't be giving a whole lot of speeches a month & five days from now. If I were him I'd brush up on my "passing out in a hammock by the beach" skills.

Amusing incident. I think the camera angle makes his duck look more impressive though. I'd be disappointed if I couldn't duck a thrown object from 10m away, especially something like a shoe.
I think the discussion about the incident is more amusing though - especially the complaints that the secret service should have done a better job and "what if he had a gun" etc.

He won't need it, but have you not heard the guy talk?
Search bush-isms if you haven't.

I found it funny that they investigated the guy (who threw his shoes at Bush) for alcohol or substance abuse. I'm also surprised that there weren't others that threw their own shoes along with him, regardless of the penalty of a jail sentence.

I thought that the title of this thread really set it off. Clever.

No, I have been unaware of President Bush until this incident.
Thank you for opening my eyes.

There was no point to that speech. I don't know what point he was trying to get across except that we've rebuilt the nation to where they can now throw their shoes peacefully.,

He wasn't bent out of shape, he was just being very funny. Just laugh with the rest of us.

I really wish someone would photoshop the guy throwing a baby at Mr. Bush... or maybe a cat. How about a miniature hippopotamus?
