I shredded with long hair for a few years, once it's long enough to put back in a pony tail you're home free. Until then the best is probably to put as much back into a pony tail as you can and throw in a couple bobby pins to take care of the rest. If you have dark hair I doubt anyone will see them anyway. I used to kick with a plain old knit skull cap before i could put it in a pony tail and it was murder in the summer. Of course the best solution is still scissors, I'm so glad that shit is off my head now :D. Good luck.

I dont want hair past like the bottom of my ear length anyway, so it will never be long enough for pony tail :). Just long enough to look good hehe

Yeah, I have shoulder length hair, and it does mess me up. I stick ALL of it under a beanie and go.

Trouble with a hat is once you get a bit better and start busting longer strings you exert alot more energy and having ur head pressed down to your head by a hat (especially a woolen one) and u get REALLY sweaty and its unbearable, this thread is about alternatives to a hat :)

Yeah having undulating hair must suck. But lots of top players seem to play ok in hats - Scott Bevier is the world number 3 and I've never seen him play without a hat. Maybe if it's long enough you could do it up in a bun or something? I think I've seen Yves Kriel playing like that? Or convert to sheikism ;)

A form of headband.....

take a pair of your girlfriend's pantyhose and remove the elastic that would go around the waist. The elastic is thin and about the right circumference for your head. I had some friends that used them for soccer. Personally I use a skull cap, although it is real hot.

Caps are usually ok, but when doing ducks and dives it always drops. My caps aren't the adjustable model.
Probably should buy one.
