So....weary....of....this.....topic.......*drool*

If you want one so bad why don't you just make your own? You won't be able to agree on a format/color/wording nor organise mass production anyway.

If you want to introduce people to footbag, show them. If you're worried about not recognizing a footbag player...then I think you're in a magical land where there are hundreds per city. Truth is you KNOW every single footbagger in your city and when you go to tournaments you can easily tell by LAVERS (or clima drools or GOONITS).
I know when I'm at a competition I always wear my lavers, especially if there's a footbag party (like the epic unforgettable night at foufs during worlds).

I moved to this state about three months ago and I don't know every player in my area yet. When I go to other cities in the area and I'm walking down the street, I don't know if I'm looking right at a footbag player. Lots of people wear their lavers all the time, like me, but a bunch of people don't (...like those freaks with flat feet who can't wear them all the time. :)) This bracelet thing isn't just for when you're in your own town, it seems like it’s more for when people are visiting other places. I would love to be on a trip and find a random shredder out of no where. Impromptu session? Plus any time you have an excuse to spread the word of Footbag to people who don’t know what it is, it’s a good thing.

Yeah, my wrists are really small too.

I'd just like to remind people that the livestrong bracelets are in support of cancer not to identify somebody for a specific activity. I wouldn't really equate a footbag bracelete to the same status as that, i'm not saying there shouldn't be a bracelete to be an indicator of fellow footbaggers, but maybe something different than an awareness bracelete such as the livestrong one would be a bit more appropriate.

The patch thing is cool but hows about we play footbag for a cause eh? Like, for example, Ryan Mulroney would be shredding to raise money for cancer research... eh?

I'm actually looking into making a beaded bracelet. All one colour, with the text different. eg, black back ground, white text (boring, but just an example).

I think this would be way cooler than just getting some generic wrist band (that kinda looks dodgy, anyway).

Most of us Modified users have tried to sew our own bags at one point or another, so why not just try and make our own bracelets?

You can go to http://jewelrymaking.about.com/library/blladder.htm to find out how to do it, and I'm sure there are plenty of other sites available with more information.

Yes. but it won't be as unified. New Jersey baggers most likely won't have identical bracelets as canadian or cli footbaggers....

I know what you're saying, but, when it comes to it, we all hook up at events and such, anyway, so we should all (eventually) know each other as it is.

Why not all just get 'Yes, I play footbag' tattooed on our forheads?

I'm not ashamed of the fact that I play footbag, I just don't really see the need to be branded because I do.
Deep down in my heart, I know I have a connection with all you other footbag players out there (yes, even the net players  ).
Sure, it's cool to let the world know that you play, but I don't think we need to be that unified, as to wear the same bracelet.
It kinda seems stupid.
That, and what about people new to the sport, or those who don't visit Modified... might they feel shunned by the footbag community because they don't have 'the right gear'?

Maybe I'm just taking the concept to the extreme, and over reacting a little... maybe I am.
I just think it's cooler if we're prepared to do it ourselves, rather than do it the lazy way.

I dunno... maybe I'm just dribbling shit here, and no one wants to hear this, but it's just what I'm thinking.

Well...the "right gear" isn't just a bracelet :P. You gotta have the right shoes and bag (and shorts). Quite frankly, if someone who isn't all up in modified saw that everyone was wearing Footbag bracelets, I'd bet that they'd think it's cool and wanna get one.

It's not about being branded, it's about representin'

It'd be cool if you just took apart an old 32 that you didn't need, use the facile panels that are still intact and sew it on to your backpack individually. Like scattered panels. That'd look hot on any bookbag/backpack/purse/messenger bag/ pack/caryy-on luggage

Why not just get a piece of the laces from your lavers and use ity as a wristband? I think that'd be much more cool/authentic than a rubber flimsy livestrong thing. Plus I know a lot of you guys have had a lot of lavers so it'd be kind of cool to have like 5 laces on your wrist. This would also provide the same footbagger recognition or whatever.
