Yes, Henry i also agree with Ted on this ; i'm also pushing myself
very hard to progress really fast, it kind sucks to be the "worst"
shredder in my club. And the last couple of sessions i was doing
well, and because i had so much fun going big, i went over the top
and now i have shin splints and a muscle injury
But of course, i kept on playing, doing what Ted suggested basically,
and i drilled easy stuff like butterflies, pdx mirage and so on.
Because this injury is affecting my right leg, i couldnt pixie with that
side properly, and since thats my only good set so far, i had to learn
it properly on my flip.
Doing so, i realized that i only got injured by just not doing the technique
right ; for my flip i had to concentrate on the movements more to make
it work.
Like that i got a decent pixie on both sides now, mainly
because i was thinking things through a bit more, and its
feeling/looking more effortless now aswell
Studying the components of a move, drilling and taking things easy
seems to be the way forward for over ambitious guys like us
Good recovery and a happy new year !
