i really don't see the need to "set the standard". why limit the game by saying "there are a hand full of tricks that you aren't allowed to hit after a while. sorry, but that's the deal." i personally don't think that's a good idea. i play guiltless (i absolutly hate this term) and tripless because i like to push my self, not because it's the standard of play today.ericksonj wrote:... I mean we have to set the standard somewhere...
yeah, i agree here, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to play that way does it? i guess i wouldn't play in their circle for too long, but who's to say they can't play that way? i don't think that any one has the right to.ericksonj wrote:It would just get really irritating if I saw someone always go for 200 contacts with some 3s and kicks and some 2s and 1s. I would get pretty tired of playing in a circle with him/her.
one of my favorite players to watch play is franck rémy from paris (he has a part in Sick 03 for those of you who haven't seen him play). i lve watching him playe because he just goes, he's not there to impress anyone, he throws down loads of 2's even some 1's but i think his style is awesome, and i doubt anyone else in freestyle has as free-er style or more fun than franck.[/off topic]
and in holding with the topic, i often find my self using blurry for stepping far and stepping paradox. i know it's not technically correct, but people understand what you mean, even if it is suggesting the trick gets an extra add.
