If a person is in an abusive relationship, and is being harmed by the relationship, I advocate leaving the relationship. It's foolish to say women should stay with women beaters, neither should a country stay with a leader who is beating us all.

This poll needs another option:

----------
Sick of the sour grapes and irrational hatred of Bush.
---------

So if anyone wants to complain for 4 more years about how Bush stole this election (whether true or not), be my guest.

Complain about how stupid the voters are for 4 years also, that will totally make them want to vote for your candidate.

For example, here's a political slogan:

"You're a fucking idiot! Vote for us!"

---------------------------------------------

As much as I am glad the election is over, the next one has already begun. (YAY! gag)

People talk about how they might run in '08, but we all know that it will be Hillary.

Get ready for 4 years of "Hillary, Reloaded", coming to a theater near you.

Statistically, this election was fixed.
If you flip a coin a hundred times, odds are that around fifty times it will come up heads and fifty times tails. In reality, it may be 49-51 or even 47-53, but it will always pretty much evenly split. That's the nature of random events, including random errors and mistakes.

In nearly every case now documented, producing odds not of 50:50 but, according to credible statisticians, sometimes rising to 1:250,000,000, "irregularities" seem always to favor George W. Bush

about eighty percent of all votes in the US election were counted by diebold or ES&S.

bob Urosevich is the president of diebold. he publicly promised ohio to bush. his brother is vice president of aftermarket sales (or something?) of ES&S.

check it out at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diebold

where are the trust-busters of today? american voters have some research to do...

here is why i think bush gor reelected
-we know how far down he brings us... but at least we know where he stops and what hes capable of. with kerry we dont know if he woulda been better or worse
-he was the lesser of two evils bush is really bad, and kerry is really bad. but i think that bush is slightly less bad... only slightly, but i didnt vote so what do i know
-kerry lied his ass off all the time, and was always blaming bush for everything... bush does what he says, (although most of the time its kinda stupid) and he didnt really return fire on kerry during the race... at least not as much as kerry.
-people wanted to keep the trend of presidents speaking with accents.

WARNING: i have no idea what im talking about. please dont take this seriously, i dont know anything about either guy cause im too lazy and uninterested to study them. i dont even know if half the stuff i just wrote is true or not!

I should have researched the code used by those machines when they first came out, then I could have sold millions of votes to whichever party would pay me the most.

I have always assume Nathen's signature is a sick joke aimed at pissing off people like me. I think somebody with the nationalist and self interested beliefs like Nathen could never call themselves a "citizen of the world" unless they didn't know what that meant. Probaby by "world" he means "Arizona". Equally I think that "champion of mother nature" probably means that he likes to beat mother nature in a competative sense - rather than stands up to protect mother nature. Hmm - if I seem a little agressive - it is because I have had 3 hours sleep and am very tired.

From the washinton post, Jan 19, 2005.
Post: In Iraq, there’s been a steady stream of surprises. We weren’t welcomed as liberators, as Vice President Cheney had talked about. We haven’t found the weapons of mass destruction as predicted. The postwar process hasn’t gone as well as some had hoped. Why hasn’t anyone been held accountable, either through firings or demotions, for what some people see as mistakes or misjudgments?

Bush: Well, we had an accountability moment, and that’s called the 2004 election. And the American people listened to different assessments made about what was taking place in Iraq, and they looked at the two candidates, and chose me

taken together with the NYTimes
Mr. Bush also systematically misrepresented how the war was going. Remember last September when Ayad Allawi came to Washington? Mr. Allawi, acting as a de facto member of the Bush campaign - a former official close to the campaign suggested phrases and helped him rehearse his speech to Congress - declared that 14 or 15 of Iraq's 18 provinces were "completely safe," and that the interim government had 100,000 trained troops. None of it was true.

Now that the election is over, we learn that the search for W.M.D. has been abandoned. Meanwhile, military officials have admitted that even as Mr. Bush kept asserting that we were making "good progress," the insurgency was growing in numbers and effectiveness, that the Army Reserve is "rapidly degenerating into a 'broken' force," and oh, by the way, we'll need to spend at least another $100 billion to pay for war expenses and replace damaged equipment. But the accountability moment, says Mr. Bush, is behind us.
Lying is often very effective when presented to people who believe the world is 6000 years old. Basically he fed off the stupidity of his base evangelical group to pull them to the polls using the christian values of hatred, fear, and a promise of a better life somewhere other than the present.

U.S. Students Say Press Freedoms Go too Far
by Greg Toppo

One in three U.S. high school students say the press ought to be more restricted, and even more say the government should approve newspaper stories before readers see them, according to a survey being released today.

The survey of 112,003 students finds that 36% believe newspapers should get "government approval" of stories before publishing; 51% say they should be able to publish freely; 13% have no opinion.

Props to Jeremy for getting it mostly right on my signature. I did it partially as a jab. It apparently worked.

I was thinking of changing it.

But it sounds great, like out of a comic book. I should have said I could leap tall buildings in single bound.

"Citizen of the world" implies a borderless, one-world government world, where a government of pedophiles in Brussels dictates policy to America and the world.

A world ruled by George Soros, with Michael Moore as the Minister of Truth.

Naw, I don't want to be a citizen of that world.

I am a "Hero to the Earth", because I don't wantonly consume resources, unless those resources contain alcohol.

My fishing licence fees have probably done more for the environment than most treehuggers will.

Very Scary. Newspapers are obsolete, though.

p.s.

California should absolutely succeed........

Because those who failed to learn their history are doomed to repeat it.
September 4 1967
the New York Times published an upbeat story on presidential elections held by the South Vietnamese puppet regime at the height of the Vietnam war. Under the heading "US encouraged by Vietnam vote: Officials cite 83% turnout despite Vietcong terror", the paper reported that the Americans had been "surprised and heartened" by the size of the turnout "despite a Vietcong terrorist campaign to disrupt the voting". A successful election, it went on, "has long been seen as the keystone in President Johnson's policy of encouraging the growth of constitutional processes in South Vietnam".
