I was messing around with paint shop pro today and made this cool footbag logo i think im gonna make some shirts

any changes that would make it better are appreciated

Thats going to be an expensive shirt. Too many colors, and the text is hard to read.

Try sticking to one color, crisp lines at 300dpi, and text that is easy to read and doesnt overlap the main image.

To crit your logo, the edges could use some cleaning up, and it looks filter heavy. That whole filtery look can kill a logo, similar to using a lens flare. The letters, particularly the T is totally lost on your footbag player's shorts.

While I believe your player profile is accurate, it looks a bit wonky and distorted. I've ran into this problem a LOT when using a real reference. Basically, when people play footbag, they can get into some funky positions. It'll help the most to learn human anatomy. Then you can easily correct any weird shapes.

Anyway, cool work, great to see more people trying this art stuff.

Just wondering about this... I'm pretty sure of the answer but I should ask anyways... say I want a billion shades of grey, that can't be done with just one black screen right? I'm figureing no because the screens are basicly paper with the image cut out so the paint goes in the right spot right?

I think that they would all be different screens, therefor costing a lot. I think black and white is the way to go.

Technically, there are 256 (0-255) shades of grey (black to white and everything in between), and I reckon each would be a different screen.

About the screens and greys etc.... Each screen will usually run between $20-$30 depending on who you use. So if you used all 256 colors of grey you'd be running about $6400 before the ink ever touched a shirt.

Many places (especially buying through e-bay) will include the screen price in the shirts. So let's say you had a 3 color design and wanted to make 100 shirts. At your local screen printer you'd pay about $25 per screen ($75) plus roughly $6 per shirt ($600) in a white or light color, for a total of $675.
Online you're likely to find those same shirts for about $7.75 per shirt with the screens included in the price for a total of $775.

So why go online? Well usually you aren't making 100 shirts, so lets say you want 30 instead. Locally you'll pay $75 for the 3 screens and $180 for the shirts, for a total of $255.
Online you'll pay about $7.75 for 30 shirts, which will be $232.50.

In both instances the price of the shirts goes up or down depending on the size order you place.
As far as shipping is concerned, many online printers will include shipping in their price as well, so that aspect is a wash.
