Okay, so what did you miss? Alot. Unfortunately, I was so busy that I missed alot too.

Here's what I didn't miss.

Jim Penske (aka Captain Morgan  ) hitting Nemesis right in front of my face.
Penske busting out sick strings of the most difficult shuffle.
Penske (at my request) hitting Ripstein > Superfly > Followed by something equally as sick, but I can't remember it because shock and awe set it after the Superfly.

Evan Gatesman busting Zoid set Mullet for his Sick Trick competition, then busting it again when I told him the duck wasn't clean enough. Major Props to Evan for standing up to the challenge.

Loren Baum smoking the Toe Shuffle. His game is totally off the hook. Not just toe either, he was busting some phat strings in general, but his toe stuff was just beauty to behold.

Mike Hansen fixed my computer... MAD PROPS.

Daryl busted the Pixie op Pickup record
Penske busted the Swirl record with 55 8O .

Lon Smith was just incredible to watch. Here's a guy who took the last month off to nurse a knee injury, only to lay down some of the sickest shred I've ever seen.
We're talking (regularly) 50 plus strings. Sunday night it was more like 80 plus strings. I do believe he had a 97 contact string at the end that just totally blew us all away.
One very memorable run included both Fairie DOD and Fairie Paradon BSOS 8O 8O 8O .
HE had another awesome run that started with 4 Mobius' (mobi-i?) followed by utter sickness, but of course the mobius' made the rest hard to follow.
Lon and I also had a circle (mmm a line I supposed) where we got 2 figure 8 pendulums and another circle/line where we got over 20+ hacks before Penske jumped in and ruined it

By far, the Sleeper Shredder award goes to Luis Monhollon. This guy shows up out of Tulsa, OK where he kicks all by himself and just lays down some of the most fluid style I've seen since...dare I say... Peter Irish.
At fist glance you think he only hits spinning clippers and butterflies, but then he busts out some leggy style moves like pdx eggbeater, DLOs, bubba beaters, etc...
No joke, Luis was awesome to watch, everything he hit had such fluidity and grace. My favorite thing was that he hit just about every variation of Corkscrew as regular parts of his runs.

Let's not forget Nate Linscott. I mean Holy Shit. He can hit SO Friggin MUCH and he hits it all every single run for 30+ contacts each time. Every time you think his run is over, he catches the bag and does 10 more tricks at least. He's really incredible to behold. His game has improved a ridiculous amount since worlds.

And don't forget me... well actually do. The only great thing I did, was to finally hit Symposium Twirl after 4 years of trying. The shitty thing is that I wasn't able to seal it :?

Extra Special thanks go to:

Daryl Genz and Freedom Footbags (you must support them, because they support you www.freedomfootbags.com )

Chris Holden, my partner in crime and largest sponsor of CSS6.

Dan Zahner for making half of the awards
My wife Jennell for making the other half.

My employer Splitz Bowling Center for making the next largest cash donation. www.splitzhappen.com

Abshire footbags
Nate Pipenberg footbags

Sam's #3 for the awesome gift certificates (essentially free food)

The IFPA for sanctioning the event and helping to get sponsors.

www.footbag.org For hosting all things footbag.

All in all, a great CSS event and I'm stoked to get ready for next year.

OOOhhhhh. And how could I forget. The award for best name ever goes to Emily Kulczyk...(pronounced Cool Chick :D )

Footage is coming. There were more than a few cameras, it just takes a bit of time to turn it around.

Its all right here in my camera, ha, a video is sure to follow. Rippin' was also in attendance at CSS.

Paul Mestas is awesome, his mastery of the art of juggling is a total mind fuck, amazing, just amazing.

Penske is the shiz, C-mo for sure! His ankle is mad swollen too!
Lon is cool as hell, I think he is one of the top players in the world

I have alot of footage from this weekend's shred, but I don't have enough, who all has footage cause we are going to make an epic film out of this one.

Thanks goes to Brad (and props for symp twirl/swivel!) and Chris for this event. It ran very smooth, especially how the comps were run. Everything was walking distance, hot tub, sams, even the 7-11 was cool. I had a blast guys, see you all again next year

EDIT: Oh yeah, for sick trick I hit toe symp whirl and backside smear, although they don't compare to Mr. Luis, who is the shit!

Major thanks to Brad and Chris. You guys put on a very professional tournament. Fun was had by all. And chris thanks for laying off the male asian prostitutes for a week so that CSS could have so much money to give out to the shredders.

there are many great shredders out there. many who can do the most amazing things. i must say, though, that after this event, luis is my favorite to watch. with fluid style and a quietness about his play, he will be a dominant force in the future of footbag. i love that guy!

:)
Oh, yes, I have the 97 contact SHRED from Lon.
I might just tease all you guys with it and hand it out at Montana Freestyle Jam... :D
I don't think you guys understand how SMOOTH Luis is. Hopefully you will...
Massive props to Eugene crew, who got kicked out of the hotel late Sunday night for making the room smell good. Oregan kicks ass, you guys are awesome, and your shred game isn't too bad either (j/k, Eugene was laying it DOWN!!)
Kenny Wunder is awesome. Yet another cool ass random footbagger who we were lucky enough to share a room with.
Loren Baum and Evan Gatesman will take over the world. 2 cool ass guys with some fast ass legs. Evan's only 15!! Watch out Vasek... At the close out session Monday night Evan hit Rooted Dimwalk (you try it, it's super hard).
James from Sponkane represented well too, keep it up, you're going to be sick.
Lon, Jim, Daryl, Sunny... you guys all kick way too much ass to express it here.
Super Props to the event organizers!! Go Brad & Chris!!
I know I'm spacing some stuff, but whatever....

Hey, I couldn't get logged in the for last couple of days. Anyway, I got all the final scores on shred30 complete today. The standings did not change, but Daryl and Nate were REALLY close for 3rd place. Both went dropless, but Daryl managed a few more uniques that sealed the deal.

Red got in thursday, and with Kyle Zender, we all had a sick session at Washpark. Friday, I meet up with Kenny and Luis at the hotel and we started up the first hotel session. Had a great shred and I declared Luis the breakout star of CSS6, how little I knew this would be so true. Then everyone else was showing up and I finally got that beer with Brad Kaplan, which also ended being shots and more beer. For those who were there, yea I was pretty wasted that night.

Saturday was intense! The weather was pefect, and by the time I got to the event site, people outside shredding it up. CSS 4&5 both had a lot of snow, this years weather played a major factor in perfecting this years event. I saw the CSS6 and Grateful Shred shirts for the first time, wow, I love them, and that CSS6 logo POPS! I was in awe at the quality of all the plaques and trophies Brad put together, great work! The competition ran fast and flawless, thanks to Brad Nelson and Nate Linnscott for helping out with judging sick trick and big three. Props to Stephen Barnes who trained hard and earned all the respect he'll need for the year. And props to Lon Smith who drops in shred30, takes it easy and walks over to pick up the bag and proceed to finish this badass combo on the op side for the win. Old Chicago's made for a great player's partying, having half the place, our own bar/bartender, pool table, shred spot, couches, and tons of food. There was a slight delay at the player's party, as anyone that went to the hotel was stuck in a fire. It wasn't a big deal, noone was hurt, only a few minutes late. THen later shredding at the hotel destroying my legs trying to set nuclears to James Erickson and vise versa.

Sunday, I finally had time to shred with most everyone. I was stoked cause I got a few good strings for Brad and other. Overall, Sunday was rather chill, and Lon and Penske threw down a hard, long, on stage session. Luckily Daryl stepping in and made it even longer! One of the few bad things went down later, as Eugene crew got kicked out of the hotel. Those guys party hardcore. ;)

Monday, Daryl, Sunny, Lon, Jim and myself chilled around Denver, and hungout until they all had to go. Lon's a crazy guy, trying to buy everything in my room. ;)

Overall, it's one of the best events I've ever been too. Everyone that showed up really played thier part to make a great event. Oh, and HUGE PROPS to Aaron E. Orton for taking his Iraq leave to come to CSS6. I only heard a little of what it was like for him, it scares the hell outta me. Respect.

Thanks everyone! I'm sure I'll think of more to say later, and I have tons of video/results to post.

I just want to say mad props to Chris and Brad for putting this together... You guys did an amazing job. For being away from footbag for a while, I couldn't have asked for a better event to get me excited again! Only wish I had practiced more so I wasn't the worst one there! Ha, it's cool... makes it easier to impress people next time, right? Anyhow, great job guys, and can't wait til next year!

Thx a lot for the competition guys. They'll make tight memories for sure. Well...second competition and first competed in...about 1.5 years into the sport and it rules. Thx brad and Chris along with the unnoticed people that assisted in any other ways to make these awesome events happen. If Lon quits, I'm gonna be pissed. I sat in awe as he played Sunday night not sure if it was really happening right before my eyes. I look back and see that it must have been real...I'm still sore from it lol. Score. Everyone should go to Montana and shred til their dead.
