I've been trying to learn pixie sets for a few months now. I can hit them reasonably well barefoot but hardly at all with my Lavers. The bag gets caught on the shoe all the time. What do people think about cutting out the front 2 eyelets on Lavers to make pixie sets easier? Should my pixie inability be overcome by practice alone, or with the help of mods?
I like footbag and footbag likes me. Do you like me?

If the bag getting caught on the eyelets that mean your not dexing the bag clean. your just letting it roll off your foot so to speak. Work on fully reasleing the bag and dexing it. The bad thing about cutting them off, it's extreamly easy to get a bad style beacause nothing there stopping the roll off in a pixie set. There been a converstory over too cut them off or not. IMO, I liked cutting my off but it's a personal choice.

ya lightningbolt, I agree with you. I'm going to keep the eyelets on until I learn pixie in its own right. I'm really trying to seperate the motions and things are slowly moving in the right direction. Thanks for the advice both of you.

back on topic.....
I have played with Ian alot and I have seen how much he struggles with his clippers. He also does a shitload of stretching to try and improve them. This, of course, would be frustrating and you would make you want to shoegoo your shoes. No offence to Ian but...His clippers a very crap, he should do it if it will help.
Go for it Ian

even after adding a clipper rail to my 520s its harder to clipper than with lavers.
Its that simple, if the shoe needs modding, ,it still wont be as good as lavers, but people need support. Dont leave us out, we just neeed to do a little work.
